   My family came to Matamata for a family funeral and stayed at Matamata Central Motel. It was clean, tidy and spacious. Great location. We stayed for a couple of nights, we got clean linen ie towels etc for each night we stayed. The host Wayne was lovely to deal with. Would be happy to stay here again if needed and recommend to anyone needing a motel to stay in, in Matamata.

   Nice motel at close distance from Hobbiton movie set. We have been generously offered a room upgrade. There is no onsite restaurant, but just across the street there is a supermarket with anything you need. Definitely a good experience especially with the nice person at check in.

   Within 700 m walk of many restaurants and cafes. Rooms were large well appointed and beds were comfortable and appliances new . Cleanliness exceptional. Would recommend and stay again ourselves if visiting. Lovely country town and people.

   Great place to stay if visiting Hobbiton. Welcoming host. Spotlessly clean, lovely spacious, well appointed and very comfortable room. Well equipped little kitchenette if you choose to self cater with a supermarket across road and town centre a 10 minute walk away. Would definately stay here again.

   This is a great place to stay. Clean, modern and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The location is just perfect, walking distance to the supermarket and 1 min drive to the main town centre. Highly recommend this place. Checkin was easy. If we’re back in Matamata, this will be our accommodation for sure. Thank you for the lovely service.

   Went through 5 hotels / motels in NZ while I was there damn I wish I stayed here the whole time, the parking was great, staff was amazing to and engaged, rooms are HUGE, i could have lived there.... Very quite. just a five star way to run a business. Great Wifi too. Next time im going to stay here the whole time and drive everywhere else. Could not have been happier.

   Loved my stay here. Got a family suite it was spacious and clean. The only thing is the beds were on abit of a lean so certain ways felt I was falling off. The Staff were great and helpful recommendations were on point for dinner.
