We arrived just at closing time but we were hearty welcomed by a very very kind women. Everything looked very well looked after and we appreciated everything.
We called in on our way home from Kawhia to Rotorua. What a treasure to their community. So many handy services. We had icecreams and chicken & chips. Delicious kai, excellent friendly service and a nice bench seat to eat at out front. We theorised on how the bikes came to be there.
The best spontaneous stop my now wife and I had 15 years ago. Bill and Brenda are the incarnation of the Kiwi spirit. We have related the story many times over the years of how two backpackers were welcomed, taken care of, fed and helped revamp their car without a single hesitation. We do want to make our way back over and will be stopping by here with our kids. Anyone passing by should stop by and just say hi, awesome people!
The restaurant and shop were clean & tidy, the shop was well stocked & presentable. You could see the staff preparing your food & drinks, the kitchen was emaculate. We sat outside in the sunny garden & could hear the birds. The toilets were well stocked and clean. Thanks for the pleasant time.
Great place to fill up with gas and get a coffee or even a bit to eat. Very reasonable prices. Good selection of groceries as well, better than in Kawhia.
I stopped here for a few nights Dec 2017, it was great. Bill and Brenda were great hosts. At the time Bill was working on a large trailer home, can anyone tell me if he finished it or not?
Although it has changed ownership lately they still cater for our community well and are lovely people
Stopped for lunch. Pretty much acted like we were a pain. Not helpful or pleasant to deal with. Poor selection of food.
Nice chicken and chips the burgers are good aswell
This is an awesome place. Bill and Brenda, the owners, are significantly generous and amiable. They always give us the hand when we need help. They have a general store and a beautiful restaurant which has many kind of delicious cuisines. They even offer free camping places for backpackers. We love this place very much.
