The place looked derelict on arrival. We had to find our own way to the room. While the room looked clean it was void of what was expected and it smelt. I didn't appreciate the shared facilities. The kitchen was unclean. We walked out. Applied for a refund and was told to expect a full refund. Nothing to date. Don't bother with this place.
I've never stayed here but always assumed it was closed down. It's an absolute wreck of a place and there's no way you'd want to stay here. The only people who do stay here, these days, will be those who didn't know what they were booking. Avoid avoid avoid
Ok place on edge of Dunedin nice footpath walk brings u out opposite. Well maintained kitchen coffee ect . Nice power showers and free washing machine. Electric blanket and heater pleasant staff and owner
2 toilets and 2 showers for 8 rooms, very overpriced, reception area needs to be tidied up to be more welcoming
The room I booked absolute reeked of smoke. Unfortunately, I was not informed about this when I booked/ was not offered a discount. The smell was so bad that it triggered my allergies and I was unable to stay there. Rather, I had to find alternative accommodation. I tried to explain this issue to the owner and he ignored me. I also requested a 50% refund and have not heard back.

Room smelt like baby spew, cold, bar wasn't open at all, no one staying there, manager and staff refused to refund money, no negotiations. Stay away from this place!
Nice drop in pub for a cool ale game of pool and a harbour view.... One of the few local pubs remaining.
