“I love getting a pizza from this place every week because the pizza is great and the owner makes me feel like part of this community having moved to New Brighton not too long ago. Today he made me a special Chines pizza and it was GREAT! My family fought over the last piece, which has NEVER happened before. Try it out!!”

“World’s best Chicken Katsu Don !!”
“Located inside the Court Theatre building it’s perfect spot to grab a quick bite and drink before play. Food choices are limited but wood fire pizza is as good as it gets (limited choice available) and you can get fries, that’s it. Bar is well equipped with many choices of wine by Geisen , drinks and beer, something for everyone to get you in the mood. If you want to grab something to eat make sure to arrive at least 1-1.5 hour before the play starts, as parking and seating spots inside are quite limited and wait time for pizza is even longer.”
“Great food (specifically the chicken udon) at a very reasonable price point for the area!”
“Vegetarian options! Had a delicious lunch here. Two of us ordered Jasmine Tea, Twice Cooked Tofu, Stir Fried Potato & Capsicum, and a medium bowl of rice. We finished everything and felt good full, not too full. Their tofu is locally sourced! It was fried, puffy, soft, and soaked up sauce excellently. They have soy sauce, white pepper, and chilli oil available, too. The large menu offers Cambodian,Thai, Chinese, and some other cuisines. Lots of dishes non-Chinese people will know, and some you won’t! We ordered dishes from the Chinese menu and I’d recommend both. A Note on Meat — if you’re vegetarian or vegan make sure to ask for no meat, egg, and/or dairy. Not all dish names mention meat but lots of Chinese dishes often include meat even tofu dishes. The restaurant’s interior is the Shabby Chic I adore of Chinese Restaurants in New Zealand — lanterns, large tables with lazy susan’s, photos of menu items on the wall etc. Perfect!”
“Bloody good sushi and the staff are lovely! Conveniently located within the Barrington Mall. Can't fault them”
“The lady that served me, Kaylah, was so so nice, asked me how my day was and engaged in polite conversation with me, which not many servers do. I asked for fresh fries and she made sure I got fresh fries and even apologised for the wait (not that I waited long) but she’s what I would call a 10/10 server and I really appreciate her attitude!!”

“Honestly my favourite Chinese takeaway in Chch. Been going here for 20+ years and always find myself going back. Portions are good sizes, and great variety of choices, not to mention super tasty! Might not be everyone cup of tea, but it’s certainly mine:)”
“Took my nephew to this location for lunch, we ordered at counter a whopper burger meal, and a cheese burger meal with side of chicken nuggets. By the time we had filled our drinks our food was ready, so big ups to the speedy service. Food was hot, fries were fresh, the whopper pattie was noticeably bbq grilled than normal, so I appreciated that. I find the wide open spacious dining area particularly off putting, but otherwise left full and satisfied.”
