   I’ve been to Ancestral a few times over the years, but my visit this evening was especially lovely. I came in for an early dinner and was greeted by a sweet Māori, young lady, with a traine badge thing on. She was so kind, welcoming, and very easy to understand, which made the whole experience feel comfortable and pleasant. The nicest service I’ve had there. And ive always loved the crystal chicken dish

   Amazing sour soup, squid was skinny, tough and dry. Good to see a decent number of people there mid arvo. Reasonable pricing and other dishes looked nice but not exceptional. I would return for the soup.

   Hi ancestral Team , I don’t like to put down bad rating still giving you 5 star because I have still faith in your food but this is the third time in a row I have placed the order from you same item again again I have selected extra spicy but I got super mild. What have happened exactly to your restaurant have you changed the chef or what because this is the third time I have got the food taste that it use to be before being a loyal customer of this restaurant from last three years but I don’t know why it is happening again and again. Food quality is going down day by day . I have done parties at this place more than 300-400 $ food in store but now I feel you guys are not taking care of the customer anymore. I wish someday again I can get my spicy gristle chicken back like it use to before. I’ll try one more time from your store next week. Hope this time it will be better food if not that will be my last order from your restaurant. Good bless

   Best place to get taro ball iced dessert. Soft chewy taro balls with red bean paste, jelly, various condiments in shaved ice and condense milk. We ordered it and paid online by the QR code but forgot to apply the discount code. A bit gutted. All self-service.
