What a beautiful spot to sit and eat lunch overlooking the Avon River! Had the steak sandwich and chips - plain but all was beautifully cooked. Only had one person serving the bar and food. She did a good job on her own.
Cute little place with a nice atmosphere and outside seating beside the river. Check it out during happy hour for their house wine.
We stopped there at lunch time on a Sunday and there was 2 other tables with someone. Service was efficient and fine. The terrasse and nice giving on the river right beside. I had the salad which was quite tasty and an appropriate side with a good amount of meat!
There were aspects of this place that shone, like the fantastic woman who waited or table. Great casual, friendly and humorous. Problem is, this place doesn't know what it is. The food was great value and nicely done, for a pub feed. But the name, location and look from the outside is so not pub.... If we went there expecting what we got rather than what the grab one suggested perhaps wouldn't have been so disappointed. Wine and liquor selection a bit average. At least my streak wasn't overdone.
Went there for coffee. It was average. The ambient is nice and all the food looked delicious.
Awesome location, very friendly and helpful staff. Great value meals.. Had a much better time than the week before at the ritzy overpriced The George.. Love the old building, highly recommended for family meal ;)
Dined on 28th March, using a Grab One. We had been before and the service was not great, but thought we would give it another go. Wish we hadn't. Our waitress was friendly enough, but English was a second language.. so roll on the problems. Our drink order was wrong, even though we pointed to the product on the menu to help when ordering. Our mains arrived with the wrong sauces on them, again we even pointed to this on the menu to help out when ordering. We had to wait for these meals to be corrected, but not offered a drink or anything while we waited. My steak was burnt on the outside and almost blue on the inside. We had to try and flag down the waitress for a drink, and were never once asked how our meals were. The cheesecake that was served could have been found in the chiller selection at Pak n Save, it was really awful. They seemed to be completely under staffed and over whelmed.( only two wait staff on ) There were other complaints aired by customers on this night, so it was not just us. I would not recommend visiting for meal, it may be fine for a drink.
