“Great range and always friendly staff. For a small store the prices are really good, a lot of the time better than Cluntdoen a few kms away. They als9 usually have stock that others run out of at the same or cheqper price. The wine selections is fantastic too. We always go there for wine regardless of where we shopped that day. Locslly owned by indidvidual franchisees too. This store has its share of theft and other crimes so please support them.”

“Approxmetly 8.43pm 29/12/25. Such wonderful service this evening from Wendy. I went to queue and she dropped what she was doing to ask me to come to the desk so she could serve me. I had a bag of kettles and a 90L Sistema storage container. She asked me how my day was and if I had a busy Xmas. She was very easy to engage with after a long day at work. She discussed about the great price of the Sistema containers and may have mentioned that, at that price you could get two! It was indeed good value and her upsell almost made me buy another one. I will discuss with my wife this evening and may come back and buy another two. Keep this wonderful wahine on, she is very motivated and an asset to your store!”

“Good car parking very near to the back entrance of Barrington mall Clean entrance. Easy to get around. Lots of specials easily visible. Ailse clear. Plenty of staff visible to ask for help. Available to get ladders to look for other stock. Very clear setup of different sections within the shop. Friendly and smiling checkout staff.”

“Honestly the creme de La creme of shoe shops. I popped home from Sydney via Wellington where I’d looked everywhere I could for boots. Michaela (and Harmony) helped me find the elusive perfect winter boots and the customer service was chef’s kiss. Honest, super helpful and relaxed. I’m not even kidding when I say I’ve been looking for two winters. After looking so many other places I’ll just wait to come here next time I need some new shoes. They let me try on something like 10 pairs and I had a shortlist of four(!) The buyer at this store must be a literal angel with the best taste on the planet. No surprise it’s a unanimous 5 star store. Highest recommend.”

Its has been helpful for lunchboxes and toys, always plenty to choose from and very kind people who are great with kids. theres a table for drawing while you shop, stickers and stamps . They offer wrapping of gifts and always have the coolest selection of wrapping paperand a great supply of stock which is not always the same from babys up to older kids ages. “I have been in Smarty Pants a number of times, sometimes I'm not quite sure what gift I'm after, last time it was for my 10yo nephew who lived in Australia. After being asked a few thoughtful questions the retail assistant offered some suggestions and showed me a couple of items, it was perfect! The best service, she really took the time to help me without any of the pushiness. Really friendly and positive. The shop itself is treasure, laid out beautifully with high quality items. Back for sure, next time its lunchboxes! From past experience, I know that they will talk me through the options so I get the right one!”

“What a top notch place for burgers and nachos hidden gem in Christchurch. There burger size are super big not like other shops serving small burger. Real Food is when it’s cooked properly with time and it taste yummy . They made meat of chips on my special request which was mind blowing chips were so crispy and meat was full of flavours. 10 out of 10 for the lovely food and the service:)”
