“Great food and great people. The staff is always friendly and attentive and the multiple times I have been here the food was never meh. Always a great quality and taste and I like that they regularly vary the menu slightly. Our go to place in Rolly! The atmosphere is elevated pub-restaurant. A few interior design changes and lighting changes to break up the wide open room a bit, could make it feel a bit more cozy. It is still a great atmosphere and feel good restaurant.”

“My best friend and I came to celebrate my birthday over brunch. Lovely lady at the counter was very accommodating and welcomed us with her beautiful smile. The food was delicious!! The portion sizes are perfect and well presented. This is definitely one of my favourite Cafe's I've been to in a very, very long time. Even the coffee was great!! 5 stars all around for me. Thanks to the chef for coming to check on us and if we enjoyed our meals. Our plates were empty - the answer is a definite Yes, we did :)”

The kitchen at Smoke Rolleston takes a coffee‑and‑cabinet path and lets the food speak. Sides support without crowding the plate. Cakes and scoops finish things neatly. Plates offer plenty without weighing things down.

“We went to The Old Leithfield Hotel for dinner on a busy Saturday night (super rugby final) with our 5 month old baby. Even though we didn't have a booking the friendly wait staff went out of their way to accommodate us and made sure we were comfortable. We both had the roast which was generous and delicious. The beef was tender and the veges perfect it was the best pub experience with a young baby, and the best roast beef. We also had the salt and pepper squid entree which was fantastic. Perfectly tender and crispy! Thank you very much to the team at The Old Leithfield Hotel.”

“This is an absolutely Mint gym. Don't let the small size put you off, they have great equipment, and space to use it. Mint have some cardio gear not seen in many places, like a ski erg, sailing grinding machine, as well as a great functional space, and stretching area. Great friendly staff who are keen to help, and the cafe does awesome tasty food for refuelling!”

“Love this little Bar, hidden gem. Great Chinese vibe, entry is via "dry cleaners" very different to other bars in Christchurch. Friendly staff, steating outside with blankets is a nice touch. Good cocktails and great $10 happy hour. Great to be able to order snacks from You Hanoi Me.”

Very good experience organising this with staff before the event and they were lovely to deal with. “We had a great experience at this restaurant! We started with the coconut prawns and spring rolls — both were very flavorful and fresh. For mains, we had the Pad Thai and Thai Green Curry, which were absolutely delicious. The service was excellent — the lady who served us was so nice and friendly, and the gentleman was very prompt and attentive. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we loved the place!”

Food was fantastic, we got 2 starters and 3 mains between us (3) and they were all very tasty. Atmosphere was nice, pretty quiet with it being a Tuesday. “We went here only once, during our quest to try all 100% vegan spots in Christchurch, but definitely not because of the food or coffee quality. In fact, the breakfast we had, (Pancakes and Big Brekky) was absolutely delicious. The coffee was flawless, too! I wish we would have had more time to try the asian dishes, as well. Next time!:)”
