We passed by for breakfast before going to the Silverstream alpaca tour nearby and we weren't really expecting it, but the food is delicious! We had the Apricot Custard porridge, cheese scone (legendary, indeed), cheese rolls, and filled croissant. All of them were great - we felt really comforted when we were eating and were happily surprised that the food was super good. Really glad that we tried all of those, and we were even wanting to try a lot more (coz they all looked so appetizing) but our huge appetite can only hold so much. To add to this, their place is also lovely and we really felt welcome. Would love to come back here when we visit New Zealand again next time.

Pretty setting! By the river bank. Nice outdoor area. A bit pricey for what it is... the cabinet food and menu looked more like tearoom. Went there on Saturday morning. Beautiful weather, it was very busy. Staff were great!

So they boast the best cheese scones in the country. Which is a big call. I consider myself abit of a cheese scones aficionado, and can confirm that these scones are possibly the best. What a cute place, lovely location, friendly people. Great attention to detail. Delish

A lovely place. The staff were friendly, helpful but not intrusive. We had the Queen's High Tea and it was amazing and very yummy. The vibe in the cafe is relaxed although it was very busy - love that it is in the re-purposed railway station and the views from the deck are lovely. Loved it - we will be back

How easy is it to have a function at β€œParis for the Weekend”? Very easy, select your menu and relax! My group of 26 family and friends gathered for French High Tea recently and while some would have liked more of the sandwiches and savouries, the food that was presented was very well received. Although the very large scones detracted from the dainty smaller pieces. We were hosted by Cat and she provided first class service and attention. Nothing was a bother. She was very friendly and efficient and delightful to work with. Thank you Cat. Certainly would recommend β€œParis for the Weekend”, whether it be just for a coffee or a group function. Thank you for having us.

Unfortunately the cheese scones are hard and flourey tasting. Cold building inside needs heating. And the lady at the counter isn't friendly and ignores you until she's finished whatever she's doing before actually serving you no 'Hello won't be a sec' or anything. Could be quite a nice Cafe with improvements. Coffee is nice.

The place was cold, under renovations, and looking good. A lovely devonshire tea. There are plenty of delicate food choices. Love the China cups and saucers. It makes one feel special.

Our favourite local cafe. Best coffee in Kaiapoi & love their food - cheese scones and sweet muffins are absolutely to die for. The owners & the staff are all very friendly and the cafe has had recent upgrades so the atmosphere is perfect. Highly recommended, thanks for the amazing food and service!
