The Craft Embassy runs with a kebab and pita menu and an easy pace. Cuts are sliced to order with good pace. The room sits relaxed with an easy buzz. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Orders move at a steady pace.
Great atmosphere and service was awesome. We ordered the fried chicken and snapper. Both very nice but the snapper was a bit dry and the risotto was a bit tasteless. But we’ll be back again for sure.
We went to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and booked a table for 15 people. The place was excellent — especially the service from the staff, and even the owner himself took care of us. We were really happy with everything and I highly recommend it. The food was delicious (the mushroom burger is a 10/10!), and they have more than 30 types of beer. Thank you so much for the wonderful service!
Dropped in here for a beer and a couple of chicken tonics on the way to a restaurant on a Wednesday night. Reasonably busy on the outside sitting and bit cold for most of us so we set in a side. Pasta for very helpful in guiding us through the number of beers they have over 30 on tap and they gave us through the local to the west coast and back. Didn't try the food or eating but the plates don't like good quality high-end barfood.
So glad we happened upon this restaurant. We came for a late lunch and it’s winter so v uncrowded. Sat at window inside but still had an excellent view of the river, walkway, and Bridge of Remembrance. The food and ambiance give a pub vibe. I had a snapper “fish burger” because it sounded interesting. It was really just a fried fish sandwich which was fine. My husband had the lamb salad which was also fine. I’d order differently in retrospect. The service was great.
Vegan food options were run of the mill and nothing to go back for but the beer selection on tap will have me venturing back gladly. Folks who were non vegan seemed delighted with their food.
Calamari is absolutely a blast. Not to mention the free range fried chicken as well. 30 taps to choose from plus ultra friendly staffs. You can't expect more from elsewhere. Definitely a go to place in Christchurch.
The Craft Embassy is a great place to hold a private function. Last night we hosted a small event for 50 people on a cold and windy night and the room was warm and cozy and just what we needed. Ben and the team went above and beyond to make it a great experience for us. Thank you very much from the Young Energy Professionals Network!
First, the service was simply amazing! The food was great, and the beer selection... well, was everything a beer connoisseur would hope for! On top of that, they are an Untapped certified venue!! Great stop for a pint of please your taste buds ! Enjoy !
This had been my favorite food place in New Zealand so far. The waiter, Ben, was a really good sport and helped us pick out a delicious wine and food. He was a good time and made us feel right at home. The falafel and beet salad was so delicious, I definitely recommend.
