Kevin was very helpful and knowledgeable on the bike I was looking at. I subsequently purchased the ET F1000 fat tyre bike which arrived today. As I live in Wellington it was important I had a bike that could handle the hilly terrain. This bike meets the requirements and is fun to ride. Although it is heavy at 34kg it has plenty of power when needed. Added bonus is that its a foldable bike and fits in the boot nicely.Thanks Papanui Cycles!
Took my daughters 53 year old trike in to get new handle grips a bell and a little basket so my great grandaughter can ride it third generation . Fabulous service the staff were great they put all the things on the bike for me.. Thank you for help. Faye
Popped in from the Coast, had what we were after, thankfully. Was going to enquire about an E-Bike too, but not so sure after the service. The man working in the shop was a bit disinterested, and when we mentioned how cool a particular set of death grips were, he seemed snarky and said "what, don't have camo on the coast?". *Edit due to response* - we said that "we were browsing for the moment". Still an unnecessary snarky remark re: "camo on the coast". Thanks.
If there were more stars to be added I would add them. We felt a little nervous about purchasing an adult trike because for us there were so many unknowns. The experience we had at Papanui Cycles was exceptional! The staff member we dealt with was friendly and warm; he was very knowledgeable and above all patient with our list of questions. We came away having purchased our trike feeling very confident and relaxed. Thanks Papanui Cycles keep up that personalized service.
My ebike stopped working properly and John fixed my bike quickly and calmly. Gave it a service as well and had it back to me in 24 hours. Kind and cheerful.

Bought a commuter bike for my son here. Excellent advice and great service. Kevin gave us great information and even pointed us towards some other shops to check out similar bikes that they did not stock. In the end we went back to Papanui cycles as they had the best deal and the best bike.
Had my Wattwheels bike repaired under warrantee at Papanui Cycles - the bike was originally purchased from them. While the repair seems to be OK the service was terrible. The owner insisted I pay the labour part of the repair (the parts were apparently only covered by the warrantee) even though it was well within the warrantee period. I have taken issue with the $180 invoice for the labour. I would not recommend Papanui Cycles to anyone based on this and other recent experiences.
