We bought two bikes approximately two weeks in advance of a picking them up. When we arrived to pick them up it seemed to take an age processing the release of the bikes which had been paid for, except for a $150 workshop bill. Neither of the dropper seats were working properly and we waited over an hour for these to be sorted. One continued to give problems so we called and spoke to the mechanic, couldn't fix it initially and was going to call back but never did. They contacted later and offered to pay if I got it fixed locally. Apart from the person that sold us the bikes, she was very good, our experience was less than ideal.
I've purchased a few things from this business. The items were sent faster than any company I've dealt with. I live rural and it was still here in a day or so. Between this business and NZ post, the service and products are amazing. Absolute 5 star.
Went in to purchase a bike lock, not requiring the top of the line and got shown a good range and description and the pro's and con's of each lock. Very informative and got to use my members voucher. Everyone I have dealt with when ever I in the store at Hornby are fantastic.
Awesome customer service by Richard(Hornby store). I have been to this store before and every time i was impressed by the patience and helping mentality of the staff. Today I reached 99 bikes Hornby store just in time they were about to close but Richard was soo calm and helpful in choosing the right bike for me. Fantastic service. Thank you 99 bikes Hornby team. Bought Ebikes and Rack through on9, after pick up rack from other branch found that the rack is not suitable for Ebikes, thanks for receptionist patiently explain to us and suggest solution for us. Their service is really amazing.
I have now bought 3 ebikes plus a few parts off 99Bikes Hornby. I keep going back because they are great. You don't necessarily expect first class service off a chain bike store, but I can say hand on heart I am always pleasantly surprised how good they are. Consistently friendly, helpful and knowledgeable with very competitive pricing. Highly recommended!
I had great service from 99 Bikes. Henry provided great service in recommending a suitable gravel bike, arranging for the bike to be built boxed and delivered to me in Nelson and if getting me a late half price offer, after I'd ordered the bike. An excellent experience all round.
I bought my bike from here and I had an amazing report with everyone in the shop. They kindly contacted me for the annual service every time, and I recently needed the back wheel rim replaced. The service was quick, very affordable and when picking the bike I looked for a chain lock. Henry was incredibly helpful, a wealth of knowledge about bike servicing and accessories, all support in a very friendly and professional manner. Thanks
