Quite possibly some of the worst, unaware, and customer-care-lacking service I have ever had from their online team, trying to sort a refund from this store. Vincent was in no way helpful, or understanding. Would not recommend purchasing with Torpedo7 because if you have an issue with some goods, you will not get a desirable outcome.

Went to this store in Christchurch to look for a tent and sunshade. They had 50% off Torpedo 7 tents and sunshades. We looked at an orange sunshade which had a large white sign stating $199.99 and next to it the 50% off. When we looked at the tag on the sunshade its original price was $129.99 non member and $103.99 for members. I spoke to the customer service team and they explained the price had gone up and they had put a black marker pen over the tag price. That’s a massive mark up and very misleading advertising Torpedo 7, the 50% discount looked good but really you were saving about $4! My 10 year old daughters question as we left was how many other items have you done this too?

I had an excellent experience with Ily at Torpedo7. He was incredibly professional and knowledgeable, helping me choose the right snowboard with great patience and expertise. His service attitude was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and very supportive. What impressed me most was that he even stayed after hours to make sure everything was sorted out for me. I really appreciate his dedication and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for expert advice and top-quality service.

I went in to buy a bike and had a great experience. Riley was extremely helpful — he took the time to carefully adjust the brakes, gear shifters, and other parts to make sure the bike fit my body properly. Really appreciated the attention to detail and the friendly, professional service.

I couldn't bear to see so many people give 1 star. I helped take many photos. A blonde beauty greeted me very friendly. It's a pity that I didn't buy anything today. I will come back next time to buy the supplies I need.

It has been a great experience purchasing in Torpedo. John is very professional and helpful. This man need a pay raise. Thanks to him we got our step on boots and bindings.

Worst customer service ever. Sales staff were rude and unhelp. Ended up buying a bike only due to a good price. My wife refused to buy a bike there as a result of the service and brought somewhere else . Ended up dealing with the mechanic after the purchase, he was good to deal with.

I would choose 0 star if there was an option. Bought a pair of snow pants from torpedo 7 and turns out the staff did not take off the anti-theft clasp. I was spending 2 hours try to take it out, it doesn’t work at all. That is funny.

I have just received excellent help from John in the Snow section of T7 Riccarton while buying board/boots/bindings. Probably the best I have experienced in NZ and that's over a period of 30 years. I hope this is recognised by the management. (I once worked in a ski shop in Europe so I do have some idea about what is 'good').

Bikes buyers: be aware as Torpedo7 will do everything to get out of their warranty obligations. I bought a $4000 Giant Trance on New Year's Day from this store and it showed some scratches on the frame which the salesperson mentioned were caused by previous test rides. I didn't pay too much attention as I was in a hurry and was happy that there were all cosmetic. Just before I left the store, the chain came off and they realized the rear derailleur arm was bent (the alarm bell rang then) and they straightened it. It was clearly abused by previous demo riders. I was traveling back to Auckland so didn't spend too much time inspecting all the other parts of the bike. Upon returning and closer inspection, it shows excessive damages and some were not highlighted to me. I dropped the bike off at their New Market store on 4th Jan immediately and requested a resolution. Since then, they have gone in circles amongst stores and their customer care (who said it's not their problem) and none wanted to accept responsibility. Worst still, multiple staff members accused me of damaging the bike while in transit and buying the 'damaged' bike knowingly (despite the fact I bought it on promo paying full price and Evo Cycle was selling the same bike for the same price).  Moreover, I showed them the car (Land Cruiser Prado) I transported it in (all seats laying flat and with an additional mat I specifically bought from Bunnings for the trip). It is extremely disappointing as no sane person would buy a $4000 bike and not look after it carefully.  I wish they spent less energy accusing fees paying customers and focusing on looking after customers, looking after their bikes in store, and improving their internal processes. Will not be shopping at Torpedo7 again and will be making a complaint under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
