“I watched Mission: Impossible yesterday at Event Cinemas in Westfield Newmarket, and I’m so glad I did! The experience was fantastic—such a stark contrast to my visit to Hoyts Sylvia Park the day before, which was extremely disappointing. Event Cinemas truly impressed me. The entire place, from the lobby to the theatre itself, was spotless and well-maintained. I was especially impressed that they have staff assigned to clean the cinema after each movie—something that really stood out in terms of care and attention to detail. The staff were also friendly, welcoming, and incredibly patient in answering all of my questions. Their warm attitude really made a difference. I was so pleased with the service that I didn’t hesitate to book tickets on the spot to return this weekend and watch Jurassic Park! Special thanks to the lovely lady who helped me at the counter with my ticket and drink purchase, and to the kind young man who assisted me after the movie when I booked my next visit. Kudos to the entire team at Event Cinemas Westfield Newmarket—you’ve definitely won me over!”

Hoyts Wairau is very convenient located, and has plenty of parking which makes a huge difference, so you're not stressed before the film looking for a park. “Newly refurbished and it looks like a classical cinema. They also have a burger and shake bar on top of the escalators. What was nice was that they deliver some items (milkshake in my case) to you in the theater. Nice and clean and really comfy seats.”

Also forgot to take my phone with me when I left the cinema room, but luckily someone gave it to the cinema staff and it was kept safe until the following day. Plenty of staff on the floor and each register available as soon as they see a customer walking there. Tony the tech consultant was extremely attentive and even had good banter. I love the complimentary smart phone set up, saved me an entire day. I also want to acknowledge the well maintained and upkept facility, someone was even vacuuming the front entrance. “I can't speak on the inner workings of the academy, but I recently travelled to Auckland specifically to see their production of Legally Blonde the Musical. I had no prior knowledge of or experience with APAA, but I was absolutely blown away by the show. The performers are insanely talented and you can tell they were thoroughly enjoying themselves. I particularly liked how they managed to include the younger kids in the show, since Legally Blonde isn't typically a show where younger kids are cast. They worked the younger performers into the show seamlessly, and they all seemed so excited to have their chance to shine (they were also incredibly talented, especially for their age!). The performers in the lead roles had seriously insane, Broadway-level talent in both singing, dancing, and acting. Super excited to visit again and watch their future shows!”
