   This place would’ve got a 1star if , but the ladies upstairs in Lux were so lovely compared to to the girls down stairs who gave us nothing but attitude and eye rolls . Like I get it you are closed , this is our 1st time here and did not know there was an upstairs . So please fix your face cause the amount of makeup you had on did not hide the ugly service you gave !

   Hoyts Sylvia Park is my go to cinema for a proper big screen experience. The location inside the mall is handy; you can grab food or do some shopping before or after your session, and there is plenty of parking which makes life a lot easier. The recliner seats are a real highlight. They are comfortable, spacious and you get plenty of leg room, so even longer films feel easy to sit through. Picture quality is sharp, sound is strong without being painfully loud, and the larger auditoriums really feel cinematic rather than like a basic theatre tucked in a corner. Service at the counter is generally efficient, even at busy times. The staff are friendly and usually pretty patient when you are still deciding between popcorn, ice cream or something stronger. Prices for food and drinks are definitely on the higher side, which is normal for cinemas, so it helps if you go on special days or use membership discounts. The only minor negative is that popular sessions can sell out fast and the self service machines occasionally play up, so it pays to pre book online rather than turn up last minute and hope for the best. Overall, Hoyts Sylvia Park delivers exactly what you want from a modern cinema: comfortable recliners, clear sound and picture, and a convenient mall location. If you enjoy movies and want a reliably good experience, this is one of the best options in Auckland.

   Would reccomend!!! i went last night to watch five nights at freddy’s 2 when it came out!! me and my partner watched the 9:15 screening. movie is 10/10 would watch but the staff was the best part. they were all so nice & kind!! their customer service skills were so amazing made the night even better. to those working on a thursday around 9pm you guys are all fab & would 10/10 recommend you go at this time :) i hope yall get some pay rises!!

   **Not Accesbility Friendly - in terms of signage, food placements difficult to reach. No physical menu for visually impaired** For the price, I expected much better than what I received. Did not see a marked "entrance" so walked along the glass wall till one just opened up to let me in. The candy/sweets area lacks so much signage and direction. Could not defrentiate "small/large cups" even though colour coded, there is no description - you have to hold them against each other. Popcorn was very luke warm in its pre-made boxes in a cabinet. By the time we sat down in the theatre it was cold. The combo specials were on tv that flashed it every 4th round making you have to stand there and wait for it to flick on - there was no established menu to make it easier that we were given. The service was average - she made no effort to tell me i could add on an ice cream to make it combo etc and instead just charged me their individual prices whcih would have been nice. The chairs in the cinema were so low and so close to the screen. For the amount of money spent, I would recommend to go Silky Otter in Ponsonby instead.

   Nice facilities. However, there's no prices on the shelves where the special cups or popcorn are. There's only one price board and it flicks between screens before you can read the whole menu. No pricing on the board for specialty cups, popcorn buckets, candy floss, pop mart toys etc. That actually should be in violation of consumer rights. Movie and seats were nice and staff were also very nice.

   The best movie experience ever here at Luxe! So glad I've been introduced to this awesome movie experience. So much so, any new movie that is released, I'll go just to be treated like a Queen. Served your ordered hot food, drinks by the friendly staff. Not too mention the Fantastic somewhat private booths with luxury leather recliner seats, set in you own private lil booth. So worth it!! Try it out YOU won't regret it.

   Fairly pricey however love the concept of grabbing your own drinks and popcorn before paying instead of lining up like most theatres makes it nice and quick to get into the movie esp during school holidays bathrooms were very clean kids enjoyed the movie today

   Overall good experience at LUX. The self check kiosk did not appear to work for LUX tickets but the staff at the counter were good and sorted our tickets out. The seats are great, comfortable and they recline a decent amount. The food experience was good. Friendly staff and decent portions. With a LUX ticjet you get 1 free drink and a small popcorn box, good value. Would recommend arriving at least 20mins prior to your movie to place your dine in orders etc. See my photos

   It was easy to get the tickets from the self ticketing machine. We could order the snacks and drinks together in purchasing the ticket. The extreme theatre was big enough to enjoy the movie, but the seats were dirty with the stains...
