Came to Calimero after an epic day at the beach in Mission Bay. Nisal was super friendly and had great customer service. Pizzas were delish. Would come here again. Thanks so much
I purchased a Calimero pizza which back in time was very tasty and worth paying a bit extra for. However, with my latest purchase the pizza hardly had any cheese and had mainly mushrooms, a couple of rough strands of onion and a couple of thick strands of green pepper and some pineapple which I had requested. It did not taste nice at all and the apple crumble was not would I would call appealing. I would not go back here. For many years it was very good. The only positive thing was the service was fast.
Pizzas were great, crusts were nice and thin, good size. Toppings were good quality. Fries were insanely over-salted, to the point of being inedible.
Sorry for the photo of the half eaten pizzas but we were hungry! Very impressed by the pizzas we ordered, The Prosciutto and The Delhi Chicken. Great tasting classic pizzas. All 5 eaters were very happy.
BEST. PIZZA. IN. AUCKLAND. The place has a Brazilian flair and anyone who understands about food, gets it; Brazilians make things better and as such, Calimero improved the "Italian" pizza experience by combining distinctive flavours and combinations beyond the boring Margarita. Its alive, its fresh, it is Brazilian / Kiwi at its best. There's no equal in Auckland. None.
I went after moving places. The pizza was ready right away, the chicken Brazilian pizza was so yummy, different, is like those pizza were the Nonna would be screaming, but you don't care because it was great hahaha. The service very friendly and they had complementary watermelon juice. For sure I will come back.
The pizza is fine for kids. For anyone who's had good pizza you'll understand the ratings on this are out of control and can only be explained by the quality of Italian food in the eastern suburbs. The service is friendly and fast.
Well done on the service, the atmosphere felt like family vibe restaurant. Tried it for the first time, and I was NOT disappointed. Going back for sure and I'll post more photos. We had the Callimaro Pizza. Mushroom, Prawns, salami, bacon, capsicum.
