“Consistently great pizza from Sals Birkenhead. The manager Raj is always friendly and nice to talk to, and he makes a pretty great pizza. Sals menu is simpler than other pizza places, but higher quality and tastier - plus a large pizza is actually large from Sals. Definitely recommend Sals for a slice of New York style pizza, especially if you can get a deal or bundle.”

“Absolutely delicious food and decent service. The food couldn’t have been better absolutely chefs kiss as always! Service was good though was a bit disappointed that when the waitress poured our water she spilt quite a bit over the table and said she’d be back to clean it up but never did so we ended up using a serviette. Atmosphere was nice. Overall a really good experience. Definitely recommend if you want good food! Just bear in mind that it is pricey”

“I went to Caffe E Cucina for a tinder date (which went pretty well, I think she likes me!) for lunch, and had a great time. We ordered different kinda small plates from the prima section of the menu and shared those which worked well as we weren't super hungry. The service was good, and prices not toooo bad. The food was definitely the highlight (after the company) with everything cooked to perfection. Seared tuna blew my mind.”

Service was efficient and friendly even though the hard working staff were quite busy. The whole place reminded us of small restaurants in Japan. “Had the best experience at Proper Pizza, all thanks to Nithya! Her service was honestly next-level, so kind, friendly, and genuinely caring. She made everything feel so easy and welcoming. And the pizza… wow. Tasted like proper firecooked perfection. Crispy, smoky, and insanely tasty. The vibes in the place are super cozy too, making it the perfect spot to chill and enjoy good food especially with mates. Nithya really made the visit unforgettable with her energy and attention to detail. Can’t recommend Proper Pizza enough, and if you go, definitely ask for Nithya, she is amazing!”

“The very best pizza place around locally. I really look forward to a nice and hot Hawaiian pizza on the odd Sunday special. Loads of toppings and a crunchy base that is delicious. I usually buy a nice and cold can or two to go with it but I only drink one then. The place is kept clean and the service is as good as the pizzas. I highly recommend this little business and owners. “I think I’ve visited every Sal’s Pizza store in Auckland and can say hand on heart that Highland Park have the best pizza, the bases are perfect with a little bit of crunch and all their pizzas are a home run. “My daughter and I went for dinner tonight and we’ll definitely being going back. Each meal was well presented and delicious! Tastier than other Japanese restaurants I’ve been to. There is so much more on the menu I want to try. Was lovely just the two of us, but can imagine even better with a larger group and sharing more meals. Our meals came out with some time between them so I did get dinner envy of others I saw. But when ours arrived it was totally worth the wait. You def need to try this one. My latest east Auckland fav.”
