The teachers/reception seem so genuinely friendly and a small detail that I absolutely appreciate is her name was already on the slot where she put the bag she has been to another daycare, didn’t have as much of a good experience as we did here at piwaka so team you guys impressed a mother who is anxious about all this stuff ! “Just watched the end of year show as my niece and nephew go to this dance school... Ive been to SOOOO many end of year dance shows for different nieces and friends kids over the years, and this was by FAR the BEST one Ive ever seen!! Amazing story telling, amazing dancers, amazing costumes and amazing organization!! I dont deal with this dance school personally but from what I witnessed tonight, they have to be one of the best dance schools!! Huge props to the owner, manager, dance teachers, other staff and even the older children who did so amazing!!! I was so impressed with the older kids!! The older kids not only maintained the story and their dancing, while directing all the younger/youngest dancers! BRAVO!! Editing to also say... This is also the only end of year dance show that I would've been happy to watch even if I didn't know any kids in tge show lol.”

“I have been surfing for 5 years and I was searching for private training to take my surfing to the next level. I found Piha Surf Academy and its great packages. I booked the 5 lessons package and I did my last lesson last week. The instructor was constantly giving me feedback in the water which help me correct old bad habits I was dragging throughout the years. I highly recommend Piha Surf Academy for beginners and intermediate surfers.”

“Just joined, love the light from all the huge windows in the gym. Lots of space. Easy parking loads of spots. Good membership price! Has a coffee shop :). Got clean showers and loos. Great vibe with the other sports going on in the stadium people working out inside and out on the track (also bush walks by the river for summer), being around others of all ages moving and having fun, makes me feel motivated! Has a vast range of ways to exercise, and opens nice and early, w Pilates, Yoga, Gym, Boxing and other classes. I have never had a PT before, but if your after a personal trainer I turned up and just happened to have Blake show me around, on my first PT session (part of the package to get one session every 6 weeks). I was shown more in this time, about HOW to get fit and reach my specific goals, learning why and how to use the equipment and ended with a mix of stretches to recover (some I had never uncounted and I'm 53) more than any time I've joined a gym before. Blake really knows his stuff with his marshal arts, Yoga, Pilates and boxing back ground, and he's just laid back, non judgmental, (I have a lot of weight to loose) so felt comfortable and supported. I've now booked some PT weekly so that I am get the most out of the membership, its so easy to do exercises wrong way and not get the great results I can see support will really help me to reach my goals! I'm highly recommending this gym!”

“I visited with a friend of mine looking for a daycare close to their work. I loved the natural focus on the centre. Earthy colour scheme in the large classrooms, and a huge outdoor area, even a bush walk for the children to enjoy. Some of the preschool children had just pulled some radishes out of the garden and were proudly showing us what they had grown. The staff and management were friendly and professional, and to my delight, there was even a teacher who taught my son in a neighbouring daycare 6 years ago, whom we thought of highly back when my son was at daycare. There were also two male teachers, which is excellent as they are so hard to find in ECE and super valuable, especially if you have a boy. I would thoroughly recommend this daycare!”

“We have been with Learning Tree Westgate for nearly a year and have been so glad we picked them to look after our 6mth old. They make you feel so welcome, it’s a safe and friendly atmosphere and our son (now a bum shuffling 15mth old) loves his garden and sandpit adventures daily. He also makes the most of the in house chef on site, eating better meals than his parents most days. We’ve been so happy with our choice we’ve successfully suggested the centre to two other families.... and counting. Can not recommend enough!!”
