   Outdated and antiquated transfer/cancelation policy. We've been using the Art Facility for about 5 years now for holiday programs (my father in law for about 10 years off and on in the past), its been great up until this point. Our 11yr old got extremely sick on a Sunday afternoon with flu like symptoms, temp, cough runny nose. Took her to the Dr Monday afternoon at 4:15pm. Rung Tuesday morning around 10am to see if we could transfer her class for the following day to a day the following week (classes I could see had spaces available) to be told they have a 4 day change policy - so you're expected to know 4 DAYS before your child is sick to make any amendments. I would have thought in this day and age with covid/flu and being advised to stay home if unwell you policy would be more flexible. I could also understand if we just wanted to change with no valid reason - I offered to provide a Dr's certificate to show just how unwell our daughter is. With 4 children, $75 is a lot of money for us to just lose. Also the lady we tried to talk to about it was extremely unhelpful. I did send an email to the manager and he replied and gave me a form to fill out for the board - which I will do, I appreciated his email. Unfortunately this experience has left a very sour taste.

   Mairangi Bay Art Centre is such a fantastic place and the team that run it are so welcoming and helpful. The facilities are so good too. The 3D art studio has classes and workshops for adults, teens kids. The Clay classes are particularly reasonable and the clay studio is a great space for beginners and intermediate artists. They can even organise one off workshops for your team or group. Highly recommend

   Mairangi Arts Centre is a fantastic place for art lovers! The staff are friendly, the facilities are great, and they offer a variety of workshops and exhibitions. It’s a welcoming space that inspires creativity. Highly recommend checking it out!

   Local Art centre that supports all arts in the community from child to adult. Classes can be purchased. Also they have a large gallery space for Exhibitions that change regularly. Currently is the 10th Hibiscus and Bays Art Awards.

   As a recent exhibitor, it have a total pleasure to be involved with an arts centre that still promotes excellence, skills and high standards, in face of the anything goes, over-academical PoMo art climate we are often assailed with.
