“First time trying Kongs Kitchen! We ordered a wonton noodle soup and duck on rice. Wow. Everything was beautiful! So affordable and delicious! Wonton noodle soup: the best in Onehunga. Period. Broth is clear as it should be and tastes like something that will heal your soul. Slightly peppery and full of depth. The wontons were delicious! Very fresh porky flavour and the noodles were super bouncy and chewy, not soggy at all!!! Duck on rice: absolutely delicious. Duck was served with white rice, cabbage and drizzled over with a beautiful sauce. I wish I had taken a photo before I ate but i literally inhaled the food as soon as it arrived My new fave spot! I wish I knew about this spot earlier!!”

“10/10 food and service. Can speak English and chinese very fluently. Don't let the amount of Chinese spoken here bother you. Any western people are more than welcome to eat here. Food felt incredibly healthy with the way they cook food here. Service was superb. The atmosphere can get a bit noisy but that depends on the customers. Other than that 10/10 place would recommend for anyone to visit. And price is reasonable.”

“This is a small Sushi bar. Because of size the best choice is to order ahead and get them to make to order. They do all the classic Japanese meals and will make pretty much anything to order. They do have a cabinet selection of pick your own but often run low so look up on there website what you feel like and order ahead to save on time. All very yummy made with love and care. They have a few tables and bench seating to eat onsite. Good takeaway packaging to eat where you like.”

“We ordered - chicken bento box - miso ramen - salmon lover sushi platter - yuzu fruit tea (cold) Staff was friendly and quick. I have never had chicken sushi before, so I was very surprised. The Bento box was great and very filling. We also had the Octopus balls and pork Gyoza as appetizers, they did not disappoint. I would venture to guess everything on their menu is amazing. Definitely worth the stop!”

“We’d previously avoided Laingholm takeaways since moving here a few years ago because the few instances we tried it was expensive, young and inexperienced staff and the food being overwhelmingly disappointing. This was our first time trying since the new owners and I’m guessing they’ve listened to their reviews. We ordered 1x Smokey bbq burger, 1x spicy chicken, $5 chips & 2x crab sticks. It came to $32 and was ready within 15 minutes. We’ve tried all the burger places in the area and this one will now be our go to. The Smokey bbq burger tasted like it was actually done on the grill to get that Smokey flavour, good amount of bacon and the condiments complimented the burger (not overpowering). Both burgers were fresh like a homemade burger and the chips, could have been more (like the good old days) but they were salted nicely with the right amount of crunch. I’d definitely recommend checking these guys out again. Staff was really quick and pleasant too.”

“It's been a while since I bought any food from this shop so again was happy with a few treats I grabbed. The taro and fish with coconut cream was fire, the fried pork buns were good and the panikekes were good too. Oh and the nice lady that served me gave me the fish treat for free - fa'afetai lava!”
