Absolutely loved the special dish which was scallop crudo, smoked tomato, and so many other yummy things. Great service, great views overlooking the ferry terminal, and just generally fun, innovative, Korean / fusion vibes.

Yum! Each dish was different and so tasty! Great especially if you love seafood. My fave was the pawns closely followed by the sizzling chicken. The sauces were so yummy, not too rich great flavors. Restaurant is located in Commercial Bay just in front of Ahi with a view of the Harbour Building. Think the tables of 2 were at the window and larger tables were the next layer back but still with a view. Best parking is Downtown Carpark which has a great discounted night rate. Definitely give this place a go.

We loved our experience at Gochu. The waitress was so friendly and when asked if we had allergies she was incredibly accomodating positive about it all. Honestly my best experience in NZ allergies wise from a restaurant. Although it was a set menu, a few things were changed to accomodate us. The food looked beautiful and tasted fabulous. We were all saying how we never would have tried this place if it wasn't for first table and now we will tell everyone how good it is. Thanks so much we all enjoyed our experience!

This place is awesome! I always have a meal here when I come to Auckland. It's located inside Commercial Bay in the city. The Milk Bun is definitely a must. I also recommend their Crispy Eggplant and Fried Chicken. You won't be disappointed. I would visit everytime just for those 3 dishes alone!

We’ve had the pleasure of dining at Gochu for the 5th time, and it never disappoints! Every visit has been an amazing experience, with consistently delicious food and excellent service. This time, we tried the Restaurant of the Month menu, and it was absolutely worth it and a bomb- such great value and packed with flavour. Huge kudos to the chefs, especially Chef Rhea, for creating such memorable dishes. Gochu is definitely one of our favourite places to dine!

Just average. Fried chicken is always good though. The sauce for Octopus was too sour so that we didn’t even finish it and it’s not worthwhile at the price.

We went here for the team dinner. We ordered set menu which is $80 pp. They had alternative options for Vegetarian, so it was nice as everyone enjoyed dishes. Dishes were tasty but the portions were very small. I felt like it is just European restaurant, not a Korean fusion restaurant. However, cocktails were lovely.

Hadn't been back for a while but very happy with our lunch here. Yes it's a bit pricey but I'm happy to pay for the flavour and food quality for a nice meal out. Special tip, for the fried wings, ask for the sauce separately as it was quite sweet and we actually preferred the fried chicken by itself/ light dipping.

Food was good but some dishes seemed to taste kind of adjacent to what we were expecting/hoping for. My partner and I both loved the cucumber and would give it 5/5 stars, the bingsu was also amazing. We didn't enjoy the charred chicken and the espresso martinis were made way too strong, tasted more like spirits than any espresso - the menu does say it comes with both vodka and rum so that might be why? Service was great and the staff were all really nice and attentive. Again, would really recommend the cucumber dish!
