    OceanWeave Outdoor Furniture

    ★★★★★ 4.9
    Closed

“We just moved into this property this year and needed some new outdoor furniture to complement the large outdoor living space. Our son has used Ocean Weave products for some years and strongly recommended them so we acted on that and acquired four chairs. We're completely satisfied with the purchase, seem to use them daily and are waiting for some summer weather to get more hours entertaining friends and family. Although we have only had the furniture for a few months I would happily recommend the product to anyone.”

    Gary's Garden Sheds

    ★★★★★ 4.9
    Closed

“After reading worrying reviews of the kitset sheds sold by the usual hardware chains, which mentioned flimsiness and terrible instructions, we decided to pay the little extra to have a shed installed by Gary's Sheds. We are happy we did. Absolutely no-hassle complete construction including foundations and floor, done quickly and on time. We also loved that we could choose our colours.”

    Cornwall Park

    ★★★★★ 4.8
    Closed

“Cornwall Park looks absolutely stunning during cherry blossom season! The trees are full of delicate pink blooms, and it’s such a peaceful, scenic place to walk around or take photos. However, it can get very crowded on weekends with lots of people doing photoshoots. I’d suggest visiting on a weekday or early morning if you want a quieter experience and better photos. Definitely worth the visit!”

“Fantastic experience for locals and tourists alike. The pricing is very fair considering what’s involved. You’re given a fair choice of courses to partake in to suit all ages. The courses are various, which keeps it interesting no matter your skill level or confidence with heights. At heights varying from 1 to 10 metres, you’ll have to go through tunnels, across beams, weave in between posts or even just walk the tightrope with nothing but a cable to keep your balance. Highly recommend the day out.”

    Mercer Bay Loop Walk

    Closed

“Visited this morning and spent 2-3 hours doing the loop (probably only takes 30 mins) but was took my time taking pictures and picking my jaw off the floor from the views. The loop does loop around to and from the car park. I saw a review suggesting women don’t go alone but I did and felt safe on the trail. The views are incredible and the loop itself isn’t hard, just some incline and decline. Had service the whole loop, it was clean and beautiful! Absolutely recommend.”

“Maukatia Bay is a hidden gem on the Whangaparāoa Peninsula. The views across the water to Auckland are absolutely stunning—perfect for photos, especially at sunrise or sunset. It's a peaceful spot, ideal for a relaxing day out. We were hoping to spot some birds, but it seems we were there during the off-season, so no luck this time. Still, the scenery made up for it! The only downside was the wind—it was quite breezy when we visited, so make sure to bring a jacket if you're planning to stay for a while. Overall, Matakatia Bay is a beautiful and tranquil spot that's well worth a visit.”

Design Concepts - Premium Outdoor Furniture

    ★★★★★ 4.8

“Highly recommend! We purchased our Ecosmart 1200 burner insert in 2022 for our renovated villa, and continue to purchase fuel from Design Concepts. Richard & the staff at Design Concepts are so helpful & friendly, & know their products welI. When the council initially insisted the minimum clearance for the suspended section above needed to be 1200mm above the fire (which would have looked ridiculous, nevermind we wouldnt have been able to install the TV above), Richard responded promptly to our enquiries, answered all our questions & we were able to assure the council the lower height would not be a fire risk (we used fibre cement board on the underside of the suspended (faux) chimney), so we could get the open fire we dreamed of. The fire gives off plenty of heat to warm our large open plan kitchen/living room (floor space approx 49m², with 3.4m high stud). After a few hours, we can open the doors to the hallway to warm up other parts of the house. (Note: we got a fabricator to make the firebox it sits in; inspired by one of the Naked Flame freestanding fires we originally had our eye on, but had sold out by the time we were ready to purchase it).”
