Loved the Hunua track always walk this when I get the chance and nothing has changed apart from the beautiful bridge they built a couple of years ago otherwise really good track I recommend for LSD training. It says 3hours if you are fit I reckon youβll be able to do it in half the time if not faster but if you arenβt that fit then will most likely take the full 3 hours. Take water up with you

Just visited Hunua Falls with family and a few friends, what an awesome spot! Itβs a bigger than usual NZ waterfalls and super impressive, even though the water was brown from the rain the day before. Still, the whole place has a really peaceful vibe and itβs amazing how close it is to Auckland. Wouldβve been perfect if the weather was sunny and dry we were hanging out for a picnic right next to the falls! But even with the damp ground, there were some great seating areas around for picnics or just chilling out. Definitely worth the short drive. Loved it, and will be back for sure (hopefully with sunshine next time!)

A peaceful spot, perfect for a relaxing day out. The falls is stunning, and the area is well-maintained and can have a dip. Visited on perfect sunny day. Can walk up to the bottom of the fall. The walk up to the upper lookout is easy and has breathtaking views. If you look out carefully, youβll see a Waka Hotel which is lovely and quite interesting. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a scenic getaway. Children friendly.

A must see if coming to Auckland, such a beautiful place to go for a trek along the different trails, or a quick dip to cool off on the hot days we have here, the waterfall is beautiful and such a nice backdrop for the family photo. Can get busy during the weekends so may have to park up the drive down and walk down, a fairly easy gradient too.

Went at 8am on a Saturday morning, no one else was there. The waterfall was spectacular and there was a choice of walks to take, one took 20 minutes the other was 3 hours. Very beautiful place to visit

Get away from the hustle and bustle and escape to nature. The Hunua falls are just 40-50 minutes drive from Auckland and well worth the visit. For the fitness freaks, there is a 3 hour track and for the others, a 20 minute return lookout track. Picnic spots and clean toilets come standard.

Beautiful slice of creation. This waterfall was not only gorgeous, but the air was fresh, and the walk from the car park was short. No real hiking is necessary. You can hear the falls when you drive up. Peaceful. Careful on the drive. Small two lanes with lots of curve.

Parking is convenient, definitely worth going. You get to the waterfalls within 3 mins walk from the carpark, but we still did the trail to the cosseyβs reservoir/dam which was beautiful too. Definitely check out the falls from the upper lookout point. 10 mins up to a beautiful view of the falls.

Beautiful waterfall that you can visit on a weekend. Not that far from Auckland city and the best place to reach while enjoying a country side drive on the way. No tickets required to watch the waterfall. Plenty of parking available and if you wanna take a quick snap you should use the pathway starts from toilets area. If you want to have a proper walk in the park you can enter from the car park area and follow the track. There was a campground closer to the area, I believe itβs pre booking basis.
