“What a fantastic place, stayed from the 6th to the 9th April, I chose here as it is very close to the Southern cross hospital where I had my operation. My room was really nice close to the main entrance which was a big bonus, the staff were really nice and helpful. Plenty of food places around even though I didn’t use them. Hoyt’s cinema close by as well. But as I mentioned earlier it was the helpful staff that impressed me the most. I highly recommend this motel and would definitely stay again.”

“Sue is an amazing swim teacher who makes learning fun and easy. She is patient, kind, and encouraging, always cheering her students on and helping them improve at their own pace. Her friendly personality makes everyone feel comfortable in the water, and she has a talent for explaining things clearly so even difficult techniques become simple to understand. Sue is also very supportive and motivating, always noticing progress, no matter how small, and inspiring confidence in her students. She creates a positive and safe environment, making swimming lessons enjoyable and exciting every time. Overall, Sue is not just a teacher but also a role model, showing dedication, passion, and care in everything she does.”

“Awesome place to take the kids. We attended a birthday party. They set a area up for us and catered food and water. There's a Cafe with decent food. Plenty of parking It get hot during summer, keep the kids hydrated. No complaints.”

“Top line: Very good gym, great facilities. Limited space. Friendly staff, especially the manager(s) Pros: it’s quiet with sauna, pool, onsen, steam room, tennis courts, football, basketball, towels, shampoo, conditioner, iron, moisturiser, hair gel, etc Cons: found it challenging to get the initial viewing. Limited and older equipment, but it does the job! Not sure how often the sauna etc gets a deep clean. Given all the other facilities, surprised it doesn’t have a hair brush in the changing rooms, and either 1. A machine to fast dry swim wear or 2. Plastic bags to take wet swim wear home”

“Was amazing my first time there, Had a park playground for the younger ones Bombing area and slides area into the pools also a basketball shooting area Beautiful views out to the ocean and the bridge going to NorthShore With the sky tower in view”

“Been going to this gym for 3 years. Well maintained facilities and friendly and helpful staff. There’s a stadium upstairs with 6 hoops that is free to access for members. Wide range of fitness classes to choose from as well. PT service is also available. Lastly, it’s rare to find a gym that opens as early as 5:30am in Auckland, perfect for 8 to 5 workers like me.”

“Well if you want alone time Mills bay is the place. Quite, hardly see anyone. My best spot to relax during my off days.”

“This is a lovely Hilton, with all the usual facilities. Its ideally located, within easy walking distance of the town, yet in a nice quiet location with fantastic views over the bay. The facilities are good, with gym and lap pool in the summer. There is also onsite parking. The restaurant is nice and has a very good breakfast. The rooms are also nice, clean and up to the usual Hilton standard. It’s a convenient, quiet hotel, with fantastic views, if you get one of the rooms with a balcony. I would certainly recommend staying here.”

“Growing up, I always heard mixed things about walking through Myers Park — but after the recent updates, it feels completely different. It’s brighter, cleaner, and feels much safer now. Great to see the space being revitalized — it’s actually a really nice spot to stroll through again.”

“Intimate, cool,safe, lots of shade, love seats, a kids park with picnic tables,Kingfishers (alot) a great view of Mangere Mountain, at night the same view is of distant lights over water. Very romantic. Me my fav. is when the tide goes out there are miles of coastal walking available,wear sensible shoes and enjoy having the place to youself. Besides me and the dog, and the Kingfishers.”

“Love love love this little gem of a place on herald island, there is only one way in and one way out so it's not possible to get lost, enjoyed the walk and our dog just loves it there there's playground access for the kids as well as free bbq area so is a lovely place for a afternoon picnic”

“Excellent return walking trip on labour day from henderson with a picnic in between. Fave spot: see photo. Really enjoyed reading cute signs along the walk. Noticed the changes & loved seeing the loner black chicken doing his thing.”

“Great park off the beaten track a bit, so limited road noise, but less than a minute to the motorway. Fully fenced, easily accessible from the road, and gran could even watch the family play from the car if he/she has mobility issues. A park bench is just inside the top gate, with more dotted around, as well as x2 sheltered picnic tables. Heaps of the nice grass for the kiddos too. Plenty of stuff for the kids to do. We'll come again :).”
