“Excellent return walking trip on labour day from henderson with a picnic in between. Fave spot: see photo. Really enjoyed reading cute signs along the walk. Noticed the changes & loved seeing the loner black chicken doing his thing.”
“Clean, comfortable salon. Welcomed with offer of beverage. Stylist listened carefully to what I wanted and I was delighted with result (colour & cut). Will def return next time I’m in Auckland.”
“Big fan of Whitford Park GC. Great greens and a cool layout which often forgives wild shots. Suits me really well! Snapped some cool aerial shots on the way out as well. Cheers team. Hamish Dorrington Kakapo Business Sales”
“Nice atmosphere, Well priced drinks. The new caterer has good food options at great prices.”
“Nice and big park for kids. It has big and small slides, swing, and a nice place to ride a bike or scooter here. No public toilet.”
“What a fantastic place, stayed from the 6th to the 9th April, I chose here as it is very close to the Southern cross hospital where I had my operation. My room was really nice close to the main entrance which was a big bonus, the staff were really nice and helpful. Plenty of food places around even though I didn’t use them. Hoyt’s cinema close by as well. But as I mentioned earlier it was the helpful staff that impressed me the most. I highly recommend this motel and would definitely stay again.”
“Good flat area. Smooth concrete path all around outside of park. Great for walking etc. Also a small playground for kids.”
“It's just in front of my house, good for jog , picnic, for boating also. When I tried to access the toilet in the morning its locked tho. Good playground for kids also.”
“This is a lovely Hilton, with all the usual facilities. Its ideally located, within easy walking distance of the town, yet in a nice quiet location with fantastic views over the bay. The facilities are good, with gym and lap pool in the summer. There is also onsite parking. The restaurant is nice and has a very good breakfast. The rooms are also nice, clean and up to the usual Hilton standard. It’s a convenient, quiet hotel, with fantastic views, if you get one of the rooms with a balcony. I would certainly recommend staying here.”
“Growing up, I always heard mixed things about walking through Myers Park — but after the recent updates, it feels completely different. It’s brighter, cleaner, and feels much safer now. Great to see the space being revitalized — it’s actually a really nice spot to stroll through again.”
“Great fields both winter and summer. Well kept. Always clean and tidy.”
“Had an unpleasant experience at another bar with my group of mates, so we migrated here. What a difference! Pool tables, rugby on, great food to fill up on and the service was excellent! Alyssa was so friendly and helpful, thanks for rescuing our night!”
“I met a friend of mine for lunch. First time visiting this pub. Loved it. Fantastic customer service. Relaxing, environment with well thought out decor. Bathrooms worth a mention, very clean and lots of stalls. Loved the food!!! We shared a pizza, mac n cheese bites and truffle fries. I'll be back!!”

“We'd been dreaming of lava tunnels for years, so were so happy to get this under our belts. In fact, Rangitoto island could have easily kept us busy for two days, rather than the one we spent here. We didn't even have time to walk across to Motutapu island. Look, it is an old volcano, and you can see the bit that the lava came bursting out of just a few hundred years ago on google maps. Visit the summit, it's an ancient treasure; full of trees now but previously a fiery mouth, spewing molten rock at a temperature of 1500 C. I think it's amazing that this was going on while Salisbury Cathedral was being erected on the other side of the world. It is all well-signed, but from the wharf, take the summit track and then a brief diversion three-quarters of the way up. Bit of a scramble in and through, but it's well worth it; a mobile phone torch is all you need. Remember to look at the walls and appreciate the fact that just a few hundred years ago, searing basalt flows were gurgling through this very tunnel....... In geological time, that ain't very long ago... As an aside, study some geology; it is amazing. Especially if you are a bit religious and think the planet was only created 6,000 years ago and looks like it does now because of a big flood and that Emperor penguins swam all the way across the equator to the Levant to get on a big wooden boat. You definitely need a bit of education if you believe that.”
“Nice little beach, not many people around, plenty of parking”
“Intimate, cool, safe, lots of shade, love seats, a kids park with picnic tables,Kingfishers (alot) a great view of Mangere Mountain, at night the same view is of distant lights over water. Very romantic. Me my fav. is when the tide goes out there are miles of coastal walking available, wear sensible shoes and enjoy having the place to youself. Besides me and the dog, and the Kingfishers.”
“Nice for a short walk if you live nearby.”
“My go to accommodation when I head up to Orewa. Always clean beautiful rooms.”
“We ordered our Fisher Swim E in March 2024, when our new home was a dream. We moved in in May 2025, and our swim spa was delivered in early June. We upgraded to get the Clearlift, which wasn't even a thing when we ordered. We are extremely happy, and using it most days, even in July! The Clearlift was well worth the investment. We've had excellent service all through the process, from Michael O'Loan as the salesperson, to Jack and Sharona who managed the installation. I highly recommend Spa World and the Fisher Swim E swim spa.”
“Just love this bush walk. The longest track is 2h45m- Gibbons. Much of the bush is the same but I'd say it's well worth the walk. The caves track is not too far. Perhaps in 20 mints ,it can be completed. The end of this walk is met by 4 caves, the last of which is huge.”
