“Great for bikes and scooters. Basically a large West Auckland park that runs alongside Henderson and a creek. Ends up at the cycleway into town CBD alongside the Norwestern Motorway (in between Lincoln and Te Atatū South on-ramps). Fun walk/ ride. Interesting trees in the international garden area!”
“It's secluded, well maintained, friendly staff and customers and well laid out and plenty of drinks and snacks..”
“Great facility, very helpful staff. Big thank you to Sofie who helped us book a room last minute when our other venue fell through!”
“War Memorial Park in Mount Roskill, Auckland, boasts a sprawling field, ideal for sports enthusiasts to play rugby, touch, and more. The park also features a basketball court, a designated racing area, and a thrilling skateboarding zone, among other attractions. Beyond the action, the park offers serene walking paths, inviting families and solo adventurers alike to take a leisurely stroll and soak up the great outdoors.”
“Eric Armishaw Park is a fantastic place for a relaxing afternoon. It's got a great playground for the kids and plenty of open space, perfect for a picnic. If you're feeling more active, there are walking trails, a beach for surfing or flying kites, and it's dog-friendly too! For a quieter experience, it's best to visit outside of public holidays and weekends. It's a well-maintained park, and a great spot to enjoy the outdoors. I highly recommend it if you're in the area!”
“We tried other pools closer to our house, but we always returned to Hilton Brown in Newmarket. The teachers are great and really teach the kids a love for water. Ask for Richie, he’s the best!”
“Kids like the coaches so much, especially Callums & Nicky. The pool’s water quality is very good. Highly recommended your kids to learn swimming lessons in here.”
“Great skate park, good size lots of good ramps etc, we go there weekly”
“Amazing park. Love to take the dog here. Carpark near the men's shed has a hose to wash off the dog after playing in the ponds.”
“Fun! Fun! Fun! This place is a real hidden gem. It isn’t expensive and there is so much to explore and do. My children, 1,, 2, 7, and 12 year old, absolutely loved the place and didn’t want to leave, and neither did the adults! It was nostalgic with an authentic old-school vibe packed with play ground equipment and things to do that you just don’t see anymore. The inventions are wonderful, creative, and educational. Prepare to go early and for the whole day which still won’t be enough time to explore everything. There is a great cafe too, if you don’t want to pack your own food. I highly recommend this place for a family and friends day out with the kids.”
“The coaches at Ross Millar are fantastic - second to none!! Teaching swimming is their life and it shows in the passion they have with the kids they teach. Our now 7 year old was floundering and not progressing with his lessons from other centres. That changed almost immediately when he started with Elliott and Jordan. Thanks team!”
“Sculpture and bush walks were great and the shop & cafe good. We were very impressed about whole experience. You can choose different routes and activities, we did all 3 paths 4km and 1,5h when stopping at times too.”
“One of my favourite parks, nice n quiet during the week days. Thursday 10 October 2024.”
“We'd been dreaming of lava tunnels for years, so were so happy to get this under our belts. In fact, Rangitoto island could have easily kept us busy for two days, rather than the one we spent here. We didn't even have time to walk across to Motutapu island. Look, it is an old volcano, and you can see the bit that the lava came bursting out of just a few hundred years ago on google maps. Visit the summit, it's an ancient treasure; full of trees now but previously a fiery mouth, spewing molten rock at a temperature of 1500 C. I think it's amazing that this was going on while Salisbury Cathedral was being erected on the other side of the world. It is all well-signed, but from the wharf, take the summit track and then a brief diversion three-quarters of the way up. Bit of a scramble in and through, but it's well worth it; a mobile phone torch is all you need. Remember to look at the walls and appreciate the fact that just a few hundred years ago, searing basalt flows were gurgling through this very tunnel....... In geological time, that ain't very long ago... As an aside, study some geology; it is amazing. Especially if you are a bit religious and think the planet was only created 6,000 years ago and looks like it does now because of a big flood and that Emperor penguins swam all the way across the equator to the Levant to get on a big wooden boat. You definitely need a bit of education if you believe that.”
“Great outdoor gathering area with fun water activities for the kids in close distance. Our toddler was well entertained for a few hours.”

“Intimate, cool, safe, lots of shade, love seats, a kids park with picnic tables,Kingfishers (alot) a great view of Mangere Mountain, at night the same view is of distant lights over water. Very romantic. Me my fav. is when the tide goes out there are miles of coastal walking available, wear sensible shoes and enjoy having the place to youself. “Nice walking track. Beautiful trees!”
“Good place to hang out with the kids.”
“Just love this bush walk. The longest track is 2h45m- Gibbons. Much of the bush is the same but I'd say it's well worth the walk. The caves track is not too far. Perhaps in 20 mints ,it can be completed. The end of this walk is met by 4 caves, the last of which is huge.”
“This was a location suggestion, I took the photos ages ago with my family, I'm not too sure where it is, but I do know that it was a real cool place. I also remember a prison near the place.”
“Nice park and the biggest slide for kids to date I saw”
