“Helpful staff, cheap prescriptions, a good range of products for such a small local pharmacy. Very convenient to the glenavon doctor clinic. Usually easy to get a park outside.”
“Excellent consult with my elderly cat who wasn't eating and had been vomiting for a few days. Jess, locum vet, listened to me and we discussed various measures we could take. Felt supported. Meds and fluids given. Meds for home use as well. We will go back for a review in several days. End of life options also discussed. Very happy to have been able to talk things thru.”
“Shout out to the amazing vet Saffron ( hopefully I’m spelling her name correct ) Who came out yesterday to my lamb who had been attacked by a dog. Not only was she careful and very thorough but she was kind, funny and caring. She was realistic with us and did the very best she could. If I could recommend anyone it would be her. I really hope this is passed on to her as we want her to know how grateful we are for everything she did for us.”
“Some awesome, and very easy to use pet cleaning stations! My Golden Retriever is extremely anxious in most public situations but after a few minutes in the warm water alongside a shampoo and conditioner rinse, she had calmed down. My only criticism is that the doggy hair dryers aren't world class, but still do the job!”
“Such good people have been coming here for years ! Always looks after me when I come in and has very affordable prices. Would highly recommend this pet shop.”
“They have got such a big selection, I am an almost exclusive customer of theirs, they have got almost everything, and if they don't have something they are always happy to talk about getting it in truly ASAP. The store is great. They are great, I have been a regular "pet.co.nz" customer since 2018, and they were great, but since they have merged with Petstock the service has been even better, from replacing faulty items right away, to amazingly fast shipping! I was blown away my last purchase, I live in a rural area, and usually would get my order 3 days later at best, which is understandable, but this time I ordered my large breed puppy's special food like usual, in the afternoon, and the next early morning it was here!! Truly amazing!”
“This store is my kid’s favourite place to come. They definitely like to come again and again.”
“I stopped by this pet store recently because I’m wanting to start a tank and needed some advice and I’m so glad I did. A young woman working there (blonde, glasses) helped me out, and she was absolutely amazing. She really knew what she was talking about when it came to fish care, water treatments, and what species work well together. I had so many questions, and she was super patient and explained everything in a way that made sense. She even helped me pick out the right food and showed me which filters would work best for my setup. You can tell she genuinely cares about the animals and wants people to succeed, not just sell products. I left feeling way more confident and excited about getting my tank started.”
“Very friendly staffs. We are enjoying this shop where we live close by. They got veriety products and theme items for our cat.”
“I had my first visit with my pet and wasn’t sure about the process, but Ashlee was fantastic. She explained everything clearly and was incredibly friendly and helpful. Great experience overall!”
“Awesome staff here! Was looking for a specific type and color of a betta fish, called in, got a clear description of the ones in stock at the store and came to pick one up same day. Healthy and beautiful! Thanks so much :)”
“Always good produce and meat. Friendly staff. Nicely designed store and well thought out positioning.”
“I have had 2 positive experiences at Pet Doctors with Linda. She was incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout Draco’s consult for his recurring skin allergies. Not only was she thorough in examining him and explaining possible causes and treatments, but she also made sure to check in with me, answering all my questions clearly and patiently. It’s wonderful to have a vet who combines expertise with genuine kindness. Highly recommend Linda and the Pet Doctors team!”
“Hailey has incredible customer service skills and she is highly knowledgeable with products. Bing Bing is so patient, informative and helpful! The store itself is always tidy, uncluttered and always a pleasant atmosphere.”
“Excellent care for very reasonable cost!”
“I was initially reluctant to take my cat to the vet, but the process was so quick and efficient that it alleviated all of my concerns. It's such a relief being able to trust that your pet is in professional and caring hands.”
“I had two rabbits and now I have one left. Dr. Kenzie is one of the best doctors. Melow and I are so happy to have you with us.”
“Amazing, friendly customer service helping me with a delivery - my error on the order - but the team got a new product out to me pronto. The product is awesome - Bbox lunchbox already saving me loads of time as its easy to wash and assemble. Thanks guys!”
“Pak’nSave Westgate is a newer and tidier branch that still sticks to the chain’s signature no-frills vibe. It’s built for budget shoppers, but it feels a bit more modern compared to some of the older locations. If you’re in the West Auckland area, it’s one of the better options when it comes to balancing affordability with a clean, roomy shopping experience. The store is spacious, well laid out, and usually well-stocked. Aisles are wide, which helps with the flow of foot traffic even during peak hours. It’s still a very practical setup — shelves packed high, lots of bulk products, and nothing fancy in terms of presentation — but everything’s easy to find. Prices are, as always with Pak’nSave, the main draw. You can save quite a bit here, especially on pantry staples, meat, and cleaning products. The produce section is usually decent, with a good range of fruit and veg, though the freshness can still vary day to day. The meat section offers plenty of variety at a decent price point, and the bakery’s got all the basics — bread, rolls, and the usual treats. Staff are generally helpful if you approach them, though it’s still a self-service kind of environment. Don’t expect heaps of interaction, but they’ll assist you if you ask. The checkout area is usually well-staffed, and self-service options are available for smaller shops. Queues move fairly quickly even when it’s busy. Parking is pretty good at Westgate. There’s plenty of space, and it’s easy to get in and out of the carpark compared to other branches. Being part of a large shopping complex also means you can tick off other errands while you’re in the area. Just like other Pak’nSaves, you might find some differences between what’s online and what’s actually in store, so it’s best to shop with a bit of flexibility. Overall, Pak’nSave Westgate is a strong performer. It’s clean, spacious, and reliable for those who want to get a big shop done without overspending. It’s still a no-frills setup, but it feels a little more polished than the older branches, which makes for a smoother experience all round.”
“Very friendly staff, very helpful and knowledgeable. Jordan was very kind and helped me pick out what I needed and carried my products to the car. Going above and beyond. Will definitely be coming back”
“I had a really great experience with the 2 lovely staff members yesterday. Both were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable in helping me choose the right products for my puppy. They went above and beyond and I'd definitely pop back in to that store when I'm in the area again.”
“Came in with my little pup Harley and one of the team, Isabelle, despite being on her day off went out of her way to make a fuss and cuddle her. If that wasn't enough she then recognized her again 3 days later and when I visited the store without her a few days after that she remembered her name and asked about her. This was a huge contrast to animates who didn't even look at her or acknowledge her. Customer for life here. Thanks! With love from Harley”
“The team at 3 Kings are amazing. Always welcoming me with a smile. They often me help me carry my purchases to my van. I highly recommend them”
“Took my Puppy here for her haircut last week and it was the best she's had yet, we will definitely become regulars here. They asked me exactly how I wanted her to look, and they made sure that she had the best experience ever. Being a puppy she's very social and active but she came out looking absolutely amazing and I couldn't have wished for a better job. Amazing team and fabulous groomers in a wonderful space with plenty of parking for a quick dash in and out.”
“Woolworths Waiata Shores in Takanini is one of the most impressive and forward-thinking supermarkets in South Auckland. It’s not just a place to shop—it’s part of a larger, eco-conscious development that blends sustainability with everyday convenience. From the moment you walk in, you’ll notice how clean, tidy, and well-organized the store is. The wide aisles, modern fixtures, and inviting layout make for a calm and enjoyable shopping experience. Shoppers often praise the helpful and friendly staff, as well as thoughtful touches like kid-sized trolleys, which make it easier for families to bring their little ones along. What really sets this Woolworths apart, however, is its commitment to sustainability. It holds the distinction of being Auckland’s first supermarket to receive Green Star accreditation, which reflects its environmentally responsible design. The building is fitted with solar panels that generate a portion of its power, along with advanced refrigeration systems that use natural refrigerants. Energy-saving LED lights, water-efficient taps, and even digital shelf labels all contribute to a greener operation. The store also offers EV charging stations and bike parking, making it easier for customers to choose sustainable transport options. In terms of product range, the store has everything you’d expect and more—from fresh produce and a well-stocked bakery to an in-store pharmacy and online order pickup services. It’s strategically located at the entrance of the Waiata Shores development, which is a thoughtfully planned community with parks, walkways, and cafes, creating a welcoming neighborhood hub for locals. Overall, Woolworths Waiata Shores is a great example of how supermarkets can combine excellent service, cleanliness, and convenience with serious environmental efforts. Whether you’re doing your weekly grocery run or picking up a few essentials, this store makes the experience smooth, pleasant, and sustainable.”
“Fantastic vets. They were able to get me in at short notice and the whole team were wonderful. Just a great experience all round. Thanks you!”
“Our local Animates store! I always love coming here as all the staff are friendly and amazing. The staff are always so helpful, and they once even helped me bring big bags of litter boxes to the car ☺️ Products are mostly stocked, and they have great multi buy deals. Have done a price match with them in the past too. Special shout out to Nyk and Joseph, always with smiles everytime I see them. Keep up the great work team!”
“Long time client of Cathy and Phil and no hesitation in singing their praises. Professional, compassionate and caring for my late German Shepherd and now, my Bichon/Toy Poodle X. Highly recommended.”
“Excellent vets, premium service, not cheap.”
“I love getting a reminder via email and text that my fur baby is due for his yearly vaccines! Booking an appointment online is super easy, done in 1 minute tops. Once I got in the lovely ladies greeted me and I was seen very quickly. They listened to the concern I had with a bump on Alfies skin and took a look at it for me and gave me advice. Did the vaccine and I was good to go. My dog was very at ease in the patient room. Kumeu isn't local for us, but it is worth the drive for this kind of care.”
