We were referred to Dr. Debbie and the team at The Skin Vet because my dog Norman decided to make a spontaneous career change to “diver of lost and unknown sticks,” which got us into a bit of a tricky predicament. Thanks to his dive into yucky water, he ended up with two bacterial ear infections. One was cleared by our vet, but despite four sedated ear flushes every two weeks, they couldn’t get rid of the second infection using antibiotic ear drops due to a ruptured eardrum. After dealing with the infection for a good three months, Debbie and Ellie managed to create a safe concoction—and two weeks later, at his check-up, it was all clear! I’m so thankful for such a talented team. They managed my difficult dog like absolute pros and I couldn’t be happier with the service and the result.
What a team of passionate and fun people. You can see how they love looking after pets. Today, we did some allergy tests to my baby cat Léota. Ellie and Debbie explained everything, reassured me (and the cat). We had some good laughs, and I left with tons of advices, and a plan to get my cat better. After a couple of years of our labrador suffering with constant ear infections and being prescribed with ear wash by vets, we decided enough was enough and we requested further investigation. We were referred to The Skin Vet and upon examination we found our lab was allergic to almost everything. They prescribed immunotherapy and we haven't looked back. They are an excellent team and always make us feel welcome. Their dedication to our lab is way beyond what we expected. Our lab has been free from ear infections for months now and his allergies are being controlled. We would highly recommend them without hesitation.
