I am usually picking up Milkrun orders from Waiata shores. Wait is too longer! Today, i did wait for almost one hour for one order. When i asked staff to check my order on system one of them made excuses her name is Rupinder rather than help me out she wants me to cancel it, or to do continuous wait. I think this store need to manage milkrun orders properly, staff should be utilized more accurately. No one can wait longer even when there is no chance of getting paid for unnecessary wait. They should be respectful instead being rude with Uber or door dash drivers, we are also performing our duties with patience, they should serve drivers AsAp. Hope this won't be happened again in this store!

Iโ€™ve shopped at this place for a few years. The original staff were very friendly, but some of the newly hired employees not only unwilling to help, they also wonโ€™t apologize for their own mistakes. A very poor experience. There are clearly management issues.

What a lovely supermarket ! Can't believe it was my first time given its been open for a few years. It definitely looks to be one of the newest refreshed looking supermarkets out there and is a credit to the Woolworths banner. Loved the smell of the bakery on entering the store. But whilst it smelt great I honestly think WW need to lift their game bakery wise! Most New World bakeries are far superior to WW ones. Overall a tidy shop.

Letโ€™s be super clear. I started shopping here for exactly one reason; The free electricity. I shop at this Woolworths 5 times a week. I spend at least $100 in groceries for every $10 in free electrons. But now Iโ€™m spending $0.00 without that free electricity. Be smart Woolworths. Iโ€™m going back to pack n save until you get the chargers going for free again. (Not the fast chargers. Just free charging on the 7-20kw chargers.) Multiply the people only shopping at your store for the free electrons! Youโ€™re losing $thousands$ evey week.

Woolworths Waiata Shores in Takanini is one of the most impressive and forward-thinking supermarkets in South Auckland. Itโ€™s not just a place to shopโ€”itโ€™s part of a larger, eco-conscious development that blends sustainability with everyday convenience. From the moment you walk in, youโ€™ll notice how clean, tidy, and well-organized the store is. The wide aisles, modern fixtures, and inviting layout make for a calm and enjoyable shopping experience. Shoppers often praise the helpful and friendly staff, as well as thoughtful touches like kid-sized trolleys, which make it easier for families to bring their little ones along. What really sets this Woolworths apart, however, is its commitment to sustainability. It holds the distinction of being Aucklandโ€™s first supermarket to receive Green Star accreditation, which reflects its environmentally responsible design. The building is fitted with solar panels that generate a portion of its power, along with advanced refrigeration systems that use natural refrigerants. Energy-saving LED lights, water-efficient taps, and even digital shelf labels all contribute to a greener operation. The store also offers EV charging stations and bike parking, making it easier for customers to choose sustainable transport options. In terms of product range, the store has everything youโ€™d expect and moreโ€”from fresh produce and a well-stocked bakery to an in-store pharmacy and online order pickup services. Itโ€™s strategically located at the entrance of the Waiata Shores development, which is a thoughtfully planned community with parks, walkways, and cafes, creating a welcoming neighborhood hub for locals. Overall, Woolworths Waiata Shores is a great example of how supermarkets can combine excellent service, cleanliness, and convenience with serious environmental efforts. Whether youโ€™re doing your weekly grocery run or picking up a few essentials, this store makes the experience smooth, pleasant, and sustainable.

Waiata Shores Countdown is a supermarket that deserves all of the 5 stars I can give it. From its convenient opening hours to its eco-friendly practices, this store ticks all the boxes for a modern, responsible retail experience. Let's start with the opening hours. Waiata Shores Countdown is open every day of the week from 7am to 10pm, which means it's always convenient to pop in and pick up what you need. Whether you're an early bird or a night owl, you can always rely on this supermarket to be open and ready to serve you. But what really sets Waiata Shores Countdown apart is its commitment to sustainability. The store has made a conscious effort to reduce its environmental impact, and it shows in the design of the store and its equipment. For example, the fridges have doors to save power and the trolleys are made from recycled milk bottles, which is a brilliant way to repurpose plastic waste. It's great to see a supermarket taking responsibility for its impact on the environment, and I'm sure this will make a big difference in the long run. But it's not just the equipment that's eco-friendly - the store also has a range of sustainable initiatives that are designed to reduce waste and promote responsible consumption. For example, they offer a range of reusable bags and containers, and they encourage customers to bring their own bags and containers to reduce waste. They also have a recycling station in-store, which makes it easy for customers to dispose of their waste responsibly. Aside from its eco-friendly practices, Waiata Shores Countdown is also a great place to shop for groceries. The store is well-stocked with a wide range of products, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I've never had a problem finding what I need, and the checkout process is always quick and efficient. Overall, I would highly recommend Waiata Shores Countdown to anyone looking for a reliable, responsible supermarket. Its convenient opening hours and commitment to sustainability make it a great choice for anyone who cares about the environment and wants to make a difference. I'm glad to see that supermarkets are starting to take their impact on the environment seriously, and Waiata Shores Countdown is leading the way in this regard. If you're in the area, be sure to check it out - you won't be disappointed!
