“Firstly, this is the nicest & cleanest roast shop I've ever been in! The man and woman serving were super friendly and welcoming. My partner got a pork roll, chicken thigh and crispy but soft on the inside potatoes which were a 10/10. I opted for a small chicken roast meal, and swapped extra veggies for less chicken - which they were more than happy to do! I almost regret it now because the chicken was DELICIOUS. Crispy, juicy and so flavorful. We will definitely be back in the near future.”

The view out over the Waitākere Ranges was beautiful, despite the overcast evening. It was unfortunate that we were unable to have our preferred and reserved outdoor seating, due to the verandah being inaccessible for wheelchairs.”

“This place is no longer Williams Eatery - it’s now Bowler! They offer a fantastic selection of bowls, letting you choose from chicken, beef, or salmon, with bases of either brown rice, salad, or a mix of both. There are plenty of healthy options to enjoy here. I visited Bowler with my colleagues to check out the new spot, and it didn’t disappoint. The experience was wonderful! The staff were friendly and personally called out our names from the counter when our bowls were ready. It got quite busy during lunchtime, but at $17.90 per bowl, the price felt reasonable and well worth it. So far, I’ve tried the Free-Range Chicken Bowl (No. 1) and the Mt. Cook Salmon Bowl (No. 4). Both were absolutely delicious! The brown rice base is perfect if you’re looking for a more filling meal. The bowls focus on highlighting the natural flavours of the ingredients, with no heavy sauces - just fresh, wholesome goodness. I enjoyed Williams, and now I am loving Bowler too. I’ll definitely be coming here more often for lunch. Highly recommended!”

“Went there for the side groceries several times Levant middle eastern groceries. Pickles, Tahini, canned halal foods & frozen Molokhia & Bamia ( Okra) as well as fresh Lebanese kmaj bread & yoghurt. White cheese & halloumi in small & large blocks as well as boiled white sheep cheese. The staff are very friendly & helpful”

“Amazing restaurant, totally recommend! I came to this restaurant earlier this year and oh my was it amazing! First of all the atmosphere is very clean and well cared for, and the staff were very polite and good at their job. The food tasted amazing, especially the syrup chicken! The pasta also tasted great. The only complaint I have is that the wait was too long for the food! Overall please give this restaurant a try, it's worth it!”

“If you love Korean food, Vietnamese pho, and hot pot, you must try this place! They offer a buffet at night for $38 per person, featuring a variety of vegetables, meats, and cooked dishes. The fried chicken and rick racker are absolutely delicious. The beef slices are perfect for the hot pot—juicy and tender. The owner even adds hot pot sauce to enhance the flavor. The soup for the hot pot is tasty, well-seasoned without being too salty. And don’t miss out on the bubble tea; it’s the perfect complement to the meal. Highly recommended!”

I can only say that the food was fantastic and would be hard pressed to pick which was my favourite. I am not really a desert fan, but the chocolate mousse and the souffle were next level. “Super nice steak if you want to treat yourself. I found the service was a bit slow but the food was top notch. They show you the cuts before you order which is really handy as if you are not an officialdo then it is not clear what you are going to get. Order you mains, sauce and then side. You are talking about $100-$150 per person by the time you include drinks and sides. The meat was super tender and glad we came. We went on a Thursday and it was busy, with people sitting outside. Well worth a visit and the food quality of food is excellent.”

The staff were absolutely adorable, the tea was delicious, and there were plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian options. “Came here on a Saturday night with a large group. Despite being busy the service was amazing and friendly. Food was incredible, the half duck and beef curry were favourites, friends loved the cocktails too, highly recommend for groups and have since been back since with my husband and it was just as good.”

“We dined at Soul Bar for dinner. Our server Liz was very lovely and attentive, she made us very comfortable and answered our questions gracefully regarding the menu. All the dishes were well presented, fresh and flavorful. Good mocktail selection to, which was a nice surprise. It was a weekend evening so it was fairly loud but great, lively atmosphere for an inner city restaurant. Bathrooms were clean and tidy, rest of the staff were friendly too.”
