“Had a Christmas dinner with work mates last night and it was fabulous. The kai was great, starting with a generous entree and pizza plus generous mains and desserts. We had takeaway containers as we couldn’t finish everything. And the service was excellent, the whole team pitched in - it was a busy night. The restaurant was jam packed but that didn’t seem to phase the waiting team at all. Congratulations on a very busy but wonderful environment, service and kai!”

I had a beer that was huge, and my wife ordered a chili margarita, which she loved. We both had the ribeye steak, cooked to perfection, with delicious sides. We also shared oysters, which were incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaging. “Cafe Tran has a good selection of dishes on offer and at very reasonable prices. Ordered a Steak Burger and Chips ($21.90), which was prepared to perfection. Nothing was oily or overpowering, but just right flavours to compliment the dish. My better half ordered an Eggs Benedict ($19.90) which had very nice flavour and not too small in size.”

“Lovely place we never been to before. I have to say we left quite impressed, bellies very full and satisfied. Very interesting twist to the standard beef burger, the bulgogi patty gave it a sweeter taste. Missus had the Creamy Mushroom, and says its good. When she says anything is good... Its usually a 5 star for anyone else :) Will definitely return”

The service was attentive. Our entree jalapeño poppers were the best we've had. This is my 2nd time at this restaurant. We all left very happy with our meals! Will definitely be back again.”

“Pork and Chicken Chow meins never disappoint. I've recently returned back after many years. Last time I was here was back in the 80s. Wish you had efpos, but hey it is what it is. “Friendly staff. The restaurant was almost full so I would recommend booking a table beforehand. The waiting time was short and we didn't have to wait long for our food after we ordered. The food was delicious and made with good quality ingredients that is better than other Chinese restaurant nearby. The dish sizes are large, so it's a ideal restaurant for family and/or friend gatherings. I was happy when I saw one of the staff put a dropped table cloth into a bin for cleaning instead of using it anyway, good hygiene practices. Will come again!”

“Very welcoming and friendly customer service. It wasn’t too busy when we arrived. Our food came out quick, it was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our food. My favourite was the kumara wedges I really enjoyed that as well as my chicken apricot burger. The lovely waitress who served us from the moment we walked in was super sweet and lovely! I had an issue with my drink and she took it away and fixed it right away still smiling. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating available, it’s a lovely setup. Next time we’ll try the ribs as it looked so good when the waiter walked past with them to the other table.”
