“I'm giving Portofino 5 stars all around as we absolutely loved the food, service, and atmosphere during our holiday in New Zealand. It was so good that we visited them again before we left...twice in one week for dinner! I definitely recommend dining at Portofino. All of the food we ordered were great from the Lasagna Al Forno, Fettuccine Di Pollon, Vegetarian Fettuccine Vegetarian, Cannelloni Casanostra. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even offered and opened the window and had fresh air while enjoying our meals. We forgot to take pictures of our food the first time we dined in...that's how great it was! The pictures below are of what we ordered on our second visit!”

“Yum, yum, yum! Highly recommend trying out this place. I had the kingfish sashimi, beef pad see yew and popcorn chicken. The kingfish was absolutely beautiful, beef very tender and had a lovely charred flavour, phat noodles too, soo good!”

I also had an orange almond cake - yummy... The coffee was great. This cafe is somewhat slightly hidden , but it's worth finding it !”

“Weekday lunches are guaranteed at this restaurant, which is conveniently located next to a sushi shop. I frequently visit with my colleagues for a slightly upscale lunch. The average price range is around $21, making it a bit expensive, but the consistently recommended food quality and quantity make it worthwhile and fulfilling. Personally, I enjoy their crispy chicken with rice and braised pork belly on rice.”

“Hands down favourite dumplings in the whole wide world has to be the pork and chive in spicy sauce. Their ‘hot’ is not to be underestimated, but even though it burns a little for me it’s well worth it. Dan dan noodles a nice accompaniment to the dumplings but not a must. Portion sizes are huge so always go for the Small if in doubt. Fell in love with the original Basu Lounge in Takapuna but I really rate their Browns Bay location more.”

“This restaurant has lots of wines with reasonable prices. And manager’s recommendation made my dinner perfect. Foods are delectable and you have to pair with wine. You can see a Mission bay with your meal, that makes you comfortable. Wonderful place!”

“Awesome cafe in Howick. We ordered the Beef croquettes, Salmon Eggs Benny and a simple Cheese Toastie. All came out hot and at the same time. All were delicious, especially the Croquettes. My only negative was a few things I originally wanted were not available. We will be back”

Pine Harbour Eatery leans into a simple, bistro‑style approach with tidy execution. Outdoors works well when the weather plays along. Packaging keeps things in good shape to go. Serve sizes show solid value.

“It’s a tiny drive into the cafe. Drive slow you can zip right past it. Delicious Altura coffee. Lots of food options both in the cabinet and on the board. About 5 or 6 tables outside great on a sunny day. If there’s any left when you get there try the cheese scone !!!”

“Stopped in for breakfast this morning. Hubby had the big brekkie and I had the omelet with tomato, mushroom and ham. Both meals came with a 5 grain toast and we had a large mocha each. 100% the most delicious breakfast we have had in a café for a while. The food was so tasty and the coffee was great. We want to know where to get that 5 grain bread.... that was really good. Thanks team, we will see you again.”
