“This journey was a profoundly enriching experience, a symphony of nature's finest offerings. The breathtaking panorama at the summit. Along the ascent, delightful companions in the form of cheerful fantail birds and other feathered friends flitted about, lending their joyful melodies to the journey.”
“Our first time here! Definitely going back soon. Green. Peaceful. Relaxing. There's a gorgeous children's garden with a park and some water features to take a small dip and cool down. Lovely picnic area. Lots to see and great for getting those steps in. Great place!!”
“Lovely little playground with the beautiful temple in the background. I love the symbolic bee theme throughout.”
“Walk my dog here most days, awesome area for daily exercise, only thing that ruins it, are people ripping up the grass on dirtbikes.”
“This playground is superb, fairly recently refurbished, although some of the equipment is in need of repair, the flying fox used to be a fun double, but looks like it's been decommissioned. There is an in ground bouncy pad that's been boarded up. Still plenty to do though, water play and slides. There is a pump track around the playground, and a full size BMX track next door. There are also some walking tracks around the lake if you feel like a stroll. Watch out for little kids gravitating towards the water. With the water backdrop it's the most picturesque playground in hamilton for sure! We saw a sign to some toilets behind the netball courts, but unsure if they are open to the public.”
“Very attractive family park. It has a walking track lots of open sunny areas as well as shady. Great place to walk your dogs, jog or walk. It also provides clean public toilets.”
“Brilliant family club! Always welcome!”
“Great playground, the kids had a blast!”
“Allows dogs on leads. Has a dog run and walk way to Te Aroha. The park has facilities for water and emptying. Pay online. There is a custodian that frequents and a gentleman that sells homemade condiments. Love it here”
“Amazing park for dogs, families or to exercise. Heaps of benches, paths and swings. The park is always full of dogs and it has a lot of natural beaches along the riverside. One of the best dog parks in New Zealand.”
“Wonderful story of Arboretums history. Lovely walk around - about 2 hrs with kids. Plenty art installations to see. Lovely Cafe with cake & ice cream. There's also Ruru Retreat - a cottage on site you can book through booking .com ( recommended).”
“Great park. Very popular. All sorts and sizes running around.”
“It is a beautiful lake n easy walk way.”
“The biggest and the most interesting skate park suitable every age I have been to in NZ. Awesome! My kids love it!”
“Good place to camp for free, right next to the river.”
“nice place for play and a nice place for a walk too”
“Good big park with a skate park, toilets and plenty of shops near by.”
“My moko loved this place, made a few friends here. Sadly not with us anymore but his friends remember him.”
“walking down to Ann river park, it's a great space for picnics also better to do some up hill training you can go down and feed the ducks some oats. Their is a park bench you can sit on to enjoy the space so good when the sun is out for a spot of lunch. You can just watched the runners go by nice big open space. You get a good view great place to relax. There is a cycling trail it goes on. Please make use of the rubbish bin don't leave your rubbish flying around if you're walking a dog pick up the mess with a dog bag and put in the bin. Hamilton council regularly empty the bin. All the maintenance is done by them on the park bench on the footpath mowing the lawns thank you for giving us such a wonderful area to enjoy. All of the houses along hear keep their gardens in Tip Top shape it looks beautiful really enjoyed all the flowers. So from a local to locals enjoy the space look after it it's a privilege”
“Friendly. Helpful. Broad stock range. Will use again. Ample parking.”
“This kids playground would have to be the most interactive kids (and adults) park I have ever seen. We were there for approximately 40 minutes and didn't get to cover everything. This was mainly due to the little 3 y/o was having so much fun with what he had come across. So many activities. No photos to share,,, to busy keeping up with the 3 y/o.”
“Winter sports field with my moko. Awesome fields for soccer and cricket pitch as well”
“I recently found this place after 5 years of living in NZ. Not a bad place, quite relaxing. Thinking of setting off my kayaks from here but still a bit scared to do so. I think it would be nicer if there is free or coin barbeque spots here. Would attract more people and families”
“Awesome atmosphere. Kapahaka group from Taumarunui. Tranzit Bus Parking for Groups.”
“This park is great. My girls can run free play and enjoy being with other socialized dogs. It was great to chat with other fur baby parents.”
“Nice park, clean, tidy lawns cut, playground, tables, walk along the river very nice”
“My dog and I love this park, it's one of our favorite parks in Cambridge, lots of trees and a large field area dogs can exercise on, we always love coming here early in the morning when the frost is still on the ground”
“Someone has put a basket of balls at the court. We took 6 kids today and we had a blast. Thanks for the basket of balls. Awesome.”
“Perfect park to let the kids explore, and run around freely. Council have rebuilt the playground 2024 - double perfect! Ample parking close by and paved walkways to get to it. There's a duck pond as well as beautiful big trees, an arch bridge, gorgeous roses and long archway to walk through. A true and also well maintained Memorial park that the Te Awamutu Community and Council built. Proud to be living here!”
