Riding here for the first time, O WOW!! Tight steep and technical, good climbs up, and awesome flowing downhills! Great for a levels off MTBing. I really liked the wash bay at the car park! Overall awesome days riding.

Some gnarly tracks with poor signage. Only a few tracks suitable for beginners. Having said that, I absolutely love the beautifully built new Mohaka Meander track and the Konini Climb it connects too.

A very big and fun park for mountain bike riders, walker and dogs. They have heaps different track from easy to advanced. After last night rain road still muddy and wet. Got a tap to drink and wash your bike.

Awesome track for kids! Was my youngest kids first time riding a trail and it was small enough that I could jog along behind. Kids thoroughly enjoyed it! We took a picnic lunch as well.

Love the trails and great technical skills needed for most trails. Aslo flow and a mixer of other trails for people the have fun on.

  3. Alex Smith ★★★★★

Great trails in a handy location. Best ridden when it has been dry for a day or two - can get interesting after a big rain.

Great for running and mountain biking around. However when it's wet, the rocks (that are exposed up on the top of the hills) are extremely slippery. Great views and definitely an awesome challenge. Recommend for people with a moderate level of fitness, however there are some gentle trails by the entrance of Waiu Street. The trails can take you from Wainui to Lower Hutt (via Te Whiti riser). Take your camera on a nice day, there are great views!!

One of the best in the Wellington region. offers the widest range of tracks for small children, family friendly tracks through to grade 5 technical rides. Stunning view from the top and outstanding down hills.. many to choose from.
