   Coming here during autumn time, looking for yellowish-brownish leaves in the middle of the forest near the streams. Best in April. The play area is really a hidden gem. Unfortunately, there was a broken bridge and the track was impassable, many broken trees, landslides without warning signs. The tracks were easy and calming with the sound of birds. Too sad the tracks seem not very well maintained.

   I used to love walking around this place a long time ago, it’s really nice place to walk around, walking through the bushes are so smoothing and relaxing you forget you are so close to the city, it also has a great play area for the kids and also has public toilets that are keep up to good quality clean, not like like some over public toilets.

   I have lived in Brooklyn Wellington over 40 years. Central Park has always been a beautiful , serene haven. I has a wonderful play area, clean toilet facilities, and many wonderful walks through bush.

   I love walking through Central Park in Wellington! The trails and stairs are well maintained, and the changes in elevation will most definitely give your legs and lungs a bit of a workout. What I like most about Central Park is the feeling of being transported back in time. The greenery and magnificent Silver Fern trees combine with the sounds of the Kākā and Tui birds to make you forget you are in the city. Truly spectacular! For the photographer, this is a must see place to spend a few hours capturing images of the flora and fauna.
