The lady that helped me (Kimmy I think) was very knowledgeable and was more than happy to help and suggest styles, sizes and leg length based on what I said I liked. She hit the nail on the head and I walked out with a awesome pair of jeans that fit great. Would highly recommend ⭐”

“Great service, very friendly helpful guys, cheapest supplier around and I tried the 4 big brands. I brought too many bales of batts and they very happy to accept and refund me. I see in another review something about staff unwilling to move stacks around on a Saturday showed up about the same time on a Saturday on a long weekend and they quite happy to move stacks around (third stack in at the bottom so was a bit of work)”

“Can’t rate the service I received on Saturday 13 April 2024 highly enough. Needed to get a last minute gift for a 70th that night, went in at 4.45pm. The one staff member was so helpful and kind, didn’t catch her name but just had to say she was awesome and I left with the perfect gift very nicely wrapped - thank you.”

“I recently shopped at the Victoria St location, Daphne was nothing short of exceptional. She made me feel relaxed and comfortable, she is a true professional. As a mature woman the pre-loved merchandise was right up my alley. It’s not often I go into a clothing store and am spoilt by many choices of clothing items I want to buy. I left with two gorgeous items of clothing that I wear often and they look and feel brand new.”

“Some time ago I brought in my puffer jacket to be mended after it got ripped when I was knocked to the ground in a car accident (thankful for a quality jacket that helped cushion my fall). The staff were really lovely and the team in Chch who did the repair did a wonderful job, and charged a very reasonable fee. Love my jacket, it keeps me super warm even on the coldest winter days and it’s lasted for years. Thanks heaps ☺️”

“I've been meaning to write a review for ages as this shop is just fantastic! I recently bought a couple of pairs of boots from the Wellington store online and they arrived promptly with a gorgeous note from the staff, "Thank you Sarah ❤️ Enjoy your beautiful new Maher boots! Love Team Welly xx" with a cute little drawing someone had done of boots splashing in a puddle! Talk about a nice personal touch! I have loved my boots all winter- thank you team Welly!!! I discovered Maher for the first time a few years ago when in Auckland for a business trip and actually video called my husband from the shop as I was so excited to discover such fun and fancy shoes and accessories for men and women! It's been my favourite go-to shoe shop ever since. And the handbags are also amazing and you can often get matching shoes and bags. My only criticism would be that they don't yet have boots for men - my husband has been super jealous of my faux fur lined boots and would love something similar in his size!”

“We ordered 4 cubes of pine and gum a month ago and Ablaze delivered it the next day. I'm very happy with the quality of the wood - its mostly ready to burn and it split easily (wasn't too knotty). The staff were lovely to deal with.”

If you want cheap cards then yes The Warehouse or the $2 shop are cheaper but if you want something special or that looks like you have put in that extra bit of thought then this is the place. Also acts as a post shop. Cute kids stuff, books, gifts and calendars as well.”
