“We've been here a few times and each time the staff are fantastic, the food is delicious with great size meals and a lovely atmosphere aswell. Highly recommend a meal and a drink (or a few!). Awesome having such a cool pub here! Will be back!”
“The best place to be for any occasion. Great staff, great drinks and food deals, and the Guinness is always poured really well!”
“Amazing people, made organising my daughter's 21st birthday so easy. Went out of there way to make it personal and special!”
“Friendly and welcoming staff who provided excellent customer service. Really nice atmosphere in the restaurant as well. I ordered the smashed chicken and it was yummy and well seasoned. Would definitely come back!”
“Great stuff. I just think they need a rebrand or a redesign of their place.”
“Delicious pizza, I recommend the buffalo. Jack was on point!”
“Best pizza place in Tawa, imho. They got new flavours as well. My favourites are the Indian flavours (Tandoori, Paneer, etc.)”
“We buy almost weekly lunch for our home office day and are always very satisfied with the sushi. Easy to come, to grab and go, meanwhile the stuff knows me and always greets me very friendly.”
“Ohhhhh my God!!!! The new Slow pulled pork pizza is amazing !!! Yummmmmm!!!!”
“Lovely staff, absolutely delicious food! Garlic naan is the best around. Was a great dinner spot for our toastmasters group:)”
“I don’t think I’ve ever posted a google review - Every single meal I have ever gotten from here has been divine. Curries are beautiful, biryani is amazing, naans are perfect. Not once have I been disappointed. Big ups.”
“Absolutely delish! Our favourite Indian in the whole of Wellington! Great vegan menu for any alternative eaters out there”
“Our favourite place to eat, and we often travel from the Wairarapa just for Tequila Joes!!! Highly recommend the buffalo wings, with the classic buffalo sauce, plus Chipotle beef for main. Awesome selection of drinks, great music, love the staff.”
“Its actually my 3rd time. Their food is consistent when it comes to taste and serving,. You can also get free nachos by downloading the Mexico apps. Super delicious food. Will definitely come back here for moreeee”
“Airport food is usually more miss than hit! But for a change this place is the latter. Had spicy chicken with a salad, and it was delicious. If you’re in Wellington airport and you need something yummy + a good portion size, this is your place! 5 stars!”
“Homemade dumplings were very good. We had pork, prawn and chives. Enjoyed the vegetable chow mein too, which had a lot of fresh vegetables and wasn't too saucy. Looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu.”
“We regularly come here with the kids, extended family and friends! We love the outdoor but undercover section. It’s warm even on a cold day! We so appreciate the kids area and try to book a table near it! The staff are always friendly, quick and efficient! We have several food allergies with the kiddos and it’s never been a problem here! Kids love it! The only negative is that there is not a dairy free option for kids dessert eg only soft serve. Would be fabulous to have another option even ice blocks.”
“Went in on a cold Wednesday for some lunch and had the loaded hash bites. SOOOO good. Me and my boyfriend were raving about it on the walk home. 15.90 I think is very affordable for wagu brisket on hash bites. The meat was tender and the sauces were delicious. Very good customer service too. Very friendly and kind. Definitely would eat here again!”
“In reality 4 stars but I will give 5 as it's clear they really try and improve. Great ambience, friendly staff and lunch special on a public holiday was the best value meal we've had all weekend in the overpriced Wellington CBD. Curry was good but flavour seemed slightly watered down, can't tell why exactly. Also, asking about spiciness would be nice. Else portion size generous and overall experience good.”
“Good Sub. Staff was very quick and attentive.”
“REALLY nice place, two levels with lots of nooks and crannies to hide in and great light,. plus carpet so it's warm and quiet! Their counter food is literally to die for, as is their menu. Today was the first time I tried a counter burrito and it looked and tasted like a Michelin star chef prepared it, it was superb. Add the liquor licence and delightful and efficient staff and you'll struggle to find a nicer, quieter, classier or more down to earth lunch spot. It'll please anyone you know - including that one precious friend who will never admit they like it more than the place THEY recommended. Honestly, it's better than their place :)”
“I’ve had many subway sandwiches in my time. I’ve had bad experiences, average ones, and a handful of good ones. I’m happy to concede that my time spent at Miramar Subway was one of the best I’ve ever had the god given pleasure of experiencing. George and Chanel (Chanelle? Shanelle? Please excuse me if my spelling is wrong) treated me to the finest 12 inches I’ve ever consumed. The sandwich itself was close to perfection, but the service is what really topped it off. Warm smiles were shown, a few jokes were cracked, and I left feeling like I’d made two new friends. I’m sure the two will go on to have prosperous Subway careers”
“First time being here, reminds us of old school Fish n Chips. Really big fish, spring roll we think was handmade, everything we had was delicious. Next time we back in Welly, we will visit!”
“This has to be the best sweet and sour pork I've had in Wellington very tasty and gives you such a big portion and only $17 And perfectly cooked fish and chips highly recommend”
“Food always amazing I go there every week my family favorite are mars bars pineapple ring and chips”
“We came in as a group of three, and it was just us here. The lady who greeted us had a lovely smile and was friendly. The food was very nice, sauce options very good- food can be a bit lacking but it does the job if you just want a simple meal. The bread that comes table side was very yummy. I loved the theming, wasn’t too loud. Felt very fancy in comparison to Auckland’s Genghis Khan. Thank you for your service! ❤️”
“Love this place, very clean, yumm kai, loads of options. Mt mamas go to for her burger.”
“Food is tasty, affordable, and friendly Service recommended to all.”
“Had brunch there for the first time and loved it. For those who aren’t aware, it used to be called Mayfair theatre in the 1900s and you’ll be able to catch some of its history in the cafe. We had the Breakfast Special and it was perfect and a bonus to it was a well brewed coffee. Service was excellent and we exchanged a few chats along the way. The fireplace kept the cafe warm and toasty but not too heated. Lots of street parking available which adds to the convenience. This place also does discounts on the Entertainment Book or First Table bookings.”
“I hadn’t eaten from here for years and we didn’t rate it years ago. But I think they have new owners and thought we would try again. It was great! Really nice Hawaiian and cheese pizza and chips. Will definitely be back, and very affordable”
