Always a super reliable experience at Tawa Fish Supply. I LOVE their crumbed fish and the chips are always cooked golden to perfection - which is hard to find elsewhere. Generous scoop size. Quick service, friendly staff and very business like. Clean and tidy premises. Can even grab a quick beer across the road at The Boroughs while you wait.
Decent value for money! We tried the Fish Burger combo deal ($14.50) with chips and drink, a dozen Fried Dumplings, and Sweet and Sour Pork with rice ($16). The food was enjoyable, and the quantity was good. The Sweet and Sour Pork came with a nice twist of fried rice. Overall, a great first impression of food in Tawa, Wellington!
Fish and chips are average at best but the meat pattie… it was like a fish cake or some potato fritter, there was no meat at all. Absolutely bizarre - Not coming back
I do NOT recommend. Crumbed fish was extremely thin and mosty crumb. Chips were overcooked, crusty and greasy. The burgers were "meh" at best. Will not be buying from here again.
Best fish & scoop I've had in a while. Chicken salt was a winner
The service was good and it was cheap but the burger patty was dry and didn't have gherkins in the burger.
The fish and chips were good. However the spring rolls are battered and contain cut up hot dog meat. Seems strange to not just make them vegetarian or classically without batter. Big let down with the spring rolls. Cross this place off my list for future orders.
