May have been our group size that threw them but we found the breakfast portion sizes pretty small, service was quite slow and unfortunately all of our food came out cold was cold. Their lunch may be better.
I went to this cafe this morning for the first time and was truly disappointed with both the service and food I received. I ordered the smashed avocado with a side of scrambled eggs. At no point, during or after ordering, did any staff member mention to me that they had no avocados. I was served two pieces of toast, both with a very sparse spread of guacamole from a jar (yuck), topped with warm peas, and a small side of scrambled eggs. Not an avocado in sight. Not at all what I ordered. Again, not one staff member communicated with me that that had no avos, and that I could potentially order something else instead. Not a word, even when the food was plonked on the table in front of me. What I ended up eating was one piece of toast and the small serving of scrambled eggs - funnily enough they currently have a breakfast special on at the moment, and I could have just had that for half the price I paid. Incredibly disappointed. ... the coffee was good.
The lady in the front was terrible as last time, i think she should not be doing hospitality, always grumpy and even if she makes mistakes taking the order she sounds like you are faulty. The way she brings the food into my table should not the way how it should be. The other lady who makes the coffee was nice and kind tho! If you have other options please go with that one instead of coming here!
They sell a bacon and egg butty but never put the egg in it. And ignore notes. Also disappointed that no one answers the phone and it goes straight to voicemail.
First time ordering from here was today and on UberEats... honestly, THE BEST iced mocha I've ever had in my life, and the most amazing eggs benedict (and cheapest) in the whole of Wellington.
Nice and quiet upstairs. I would come here again. I had a lovely iced coffee.

Nice service. Coffee there is average. I ordered a regular size of long black and it turned out to be made by L'affare beans. It tasted good (not burnt). Food looked nice and the atmosphere is good. Many people working nearby would come and grab quick bite. Some would stay for relaxing and chatting. Will come again given chances.
REALLY nice place, two levels with lots of nooks and crannies to hide in and great light,. plus carpet so it's warm and quiet! Their counter food is literally to die for, as is their menu. Today was the first time I tried a counter burrito and it looked and tasted like a Michelin star chef prepared it, it was superb. Add the liquor licence and delightful and efficient staff and you'll struggle to find a nicer, quieter, classier or more down to earth lunch spot. It'll please anyone you know - including that one precious friend who will never admit they like it more than the place THEY recommended. Honestly, it's better than their place :)
