“MariLuca was perfect for our family group of 5 people. We were all really happy with our meals. My mushroom risotto was delicious with a perfect mushroom - rice ratio. Fir dessert, the almond orange cake was delicious. The stand-out feature was the exceptional, welcoming service. Highly recommend.”
“Absolutely love this lovely and cozy place for dinner. Very delicious food and very cozy style feels like I’m at home with my family. Amazing pasta.”
“New to Wellington and still looking for that nice little gem.. and I think we have found it. Great service, Tasty well presented cocktails, food is. Beautiful and tasty. Great place will be back. Love this place. Best chilli infused tequila. If you like a good quality margarita try the Californian Reaper !”
“This place fulfilled my raging cravings for sushi and also do an impressive variety of hot dishes such as chicken katsu curry. The venue is super cute, tucked into Mahara Place and it warmed my heart to see they also sell mochi and bubble tea. Next time I will visit earlier in the day to capture all the varieties of sushi they have on offer, as I was quite late and a lot of things were understandably sold out. This place deserves 5 stars and regular business.”
“The best meal ever better chicken roti, I only bought it because the person I. Front of me bought it and what made me buy from here was the delicious Aroma smell i tried them at their food truck and finally I know they have a physical store if there was one take out food I could choose it’s this place :)”
“Very friendly people, great customer service, amazing varied range of creative pizzas, and good selection of sides and desserts. They were the only place open on christmas day evening so very thankful!”
“Went here for my birthday. Tried a few of the starters, such as garlic bread, bruschetta, 3 cheese arancini, and the Provolone al forno. All were really good, and i could eat an endless amount of the Provolone al forno. I got the carbonara, and was nice and creamy. Tiramisu for dessert was good too.”
“Really, really good chicken Katsu at a reasonable price! Probably more suited for takeaway than eating in which is good. I ate in but it's not a restaurant.”
“One of the best pizza places in Wellington! High quality ingredients, especially the ham. Bases are superb, just the right texture.”
“We had huge, delicious portions of pastas here. There’s a live pianist as well that created a lovely ambience as we enjoyed our meal.”
“Delicious dinner! Came in without reservation and sat at the bar. We ordered the arancini, mushroom ragu, gnocchis and pancetta pizza, everything was delicious, would definitely have it again. The atmosphere is vibey and the service is really nice.”
“This place is the real deal. Very authentic, the place is super cozy, the service is really good and the food is amazing. The rice especially is sooo good. Definitely a must visit! Favorite place we’ve eaten at so far through out NZ trip.”
“Incredibly friendly staff and delicious food at terrific value. We ordered quite a spread to try out a few different things. The portions were very generous and well priced. The basil aioli is absolutely wonderful! It's the little things. Very comfortable environment too. Loved the place. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in the area!”
“A neat little bar tucked away from any main road that has an outstanding collection of craft beer, a quirky menu and, if you’re there at the right time, live music. This little treasure is always worth a visit”
“I loved our food and experience at Origami in Wellington. We found this Japanese restaurant on TripAdvisor and I am so happy that we went to have dinner there! I highly recommend this place because everything was perfect. The atmosphere is nice, cosy, and modern with cute looking decorations and wall painting. The Japanese staff member was very cute and helpful at recommending dishes and teaching us about Japanese ways of drinking sake. And the food was very delicious! We had Tom Yum and Miso ramens and a dragon roll.”
“The best ramen I've found in Wellington so far - hearty flavourful broth, perfectly soft-boiled egg, thin juicy pork ... Well worth the exploration up the mysterious stairs for the authentic vibes and chill J-Rock playlist. Definitely gonna start taking friends and family here!”
“Coffee to die for and beautiful authentic seafood chowder deliciously thick and packed with real seafood. Big thanks to Nish and Liam.”
“Absolutely love this place! Hands down the most authentic Japanese feed you’ll find in Wellington. I’m down in Welly every couple of months and Miyabi’s always a must-do for me, never disappoints. The food’s top-notch, and the service is just as good. Olivia’s been awesome every time — absolute legend. Cheers team, keep it up!”
“Been here many times. Excellent pizza, and their hot chocolates are a spiritual experience - best in Wellington. Absolute must for anyone whether you're a local or from elsewhere!”
“Mediterranean Foods Wellington has the best pizza in Wellington, hands down. The linguine is absolutely to die for, and every visit has been matched with genuinely friendly, welcoming staff. The place has such a good vibe — warm, lively, and the kind of spot you can proudly bring friends or family who are visiting from out of town. A definite favourite and an easy 5 stars. Highly recommend!”
“Absolutely loved this restaurant! There was a 12$ special from 4 to 6PM the night we went. The service was exceptional and there was such a nice atmosphere. The pasta plate did not deceive and I would strongly recommend this restaurant.”
“The most beautiful kebab that I have in Wellington and Porirua area. They have choices of falafel, chicken, or lamb. You can also have it combine for extra dollar.”
“Got dinner here with my wife our first night in Wellington, mostly because it was near the craft market we visited first. Food was good and well-worth the price, even had enough leftovers for another meal the following day since we had a fridge in our hotel. Not where I would go if I was looking for high-end authentic Japanese food but would absolutely go again and recommend for a quick bite, my wife liked the katsu enough that we've worked to find places with good katsu at home in Chicago. Seating was inside but open to a busy street, it wasn't problematic but is worth knowing depending on your mood.”
“As the name says, it's truly an ltalian delicacy. We ordered Pollo chicken pizza , beef cutlet andTiramisu. Pizza's crust was soft and chicken was juicy. The flavour and herb combination was just awesome. Triamisu was really moist and the coffee liquor was so precise to the point which was prefect. Looking forward to order more....”
“Definitely my fave place to go for Italian food! The perfect blend of flavours in the pizza that were not over powering but also not boring either. The food was very well prepared, served hot and service was exceptional. Pasta fabulous texture and taste. Calamari is a MUST! Deserts were wonderful too. Overall, loved the food and vibe here and would come back.”
“2 words....Crazy Good! Thanks to our host Anthony, The Chefs and crew for an outstanding Italian experience. Honestly the best Pasta I've tried. This restaurant is another great addition to the Petone food scene on Jackson. Unbelievable food, exceptional service and nice relaxed atmosphere. Thanks, we will be back for more!”
“Salmon was delicious and came out super fast. Very friendly service. Indoor and outdoor seating options with a gorgeous views!”
“Had the most lovely first experience at grazie lower Hutt. Didn't know what to expect but the service was excellent, friendly and not over the top. My partner and I shared two starters- calamari and truffle butter flatbread and wow was not expecting such generous portions. The calamari was light and perfectly cooked and a hidden treat of fried zucchini at the bottom were so delicious I would love to be able to order just a bowl of those! I had the mushroom and leek fettuccine with toasted pistachios for main. It was very indulgent and delicious, my only criticism would be it was a tad too creamy but I think that's a preference thing and after the big starters it wrecked me a bit. My partner really enjoyed the brisket Cannelloni. We had no room for dessert but looked great! Not a cheap place but I feel the quality and portion size makes it worth it. Will definitely return for another special date night ❣️”
“We love this place, food is always great, hot and fresh. They cook it in front of you and it’s very entertaining, kid friendly or fun for a few drinks as the start of a good night”
“Dined here for the first time and it was absolutely delicious! My friend and I got a medium big chicken pizza to share and it was so good! The place was very popular and the counter staff were friendly. Only downside to the experience was when I ordered a lemon meringue cheesecake and it was served to me still frozen so I had to have it takeaway, also we ordered garlic bread but they didn’t have any . Would definitely go back for the pizza though!”
