   Well presented super tasty food in a friendly atmosphere. Sharing plates gives you the opportunity to, in an affordable way, taste a variety of dishes. Well sized portions to share for two. A house cat added to the good and friendly feeling. Well worth the price so visit this place if you can!

   Was really looking forward to this but it was such a disappointment. Restaurant is clearly understaffed we sat there for more than an hour waiting for our food or someone asking us if we need anything, understandable it was a busy night but may be cover up with offering us beverages or atleatst water ? That’s bare minimum. Goes to show the cost cutting attitude of the owners or whoever is running the place. They ran out of rice for a 745 pm booking! With such a limited food menu one being a curry, what else do you eat with and how do run out of steamed rice ? There is a four square next to the restaurant, I just don’t get it. Most of the food was upper salty as well. And then you pay 20 dollars in advance to make your booking in case you cancel - and get this looong email confirming your booking repeating how they really don’t want you to cancel with other unwelcoming terms and conditions, felt like I made a booking at beehive to eat. I did make a booking before when we couldn’t go and then the website was so buggy for me to cancel and I couldn’t be bothered any more, eventually getting a sassy call back that I could have called instead. Yet we booked again after a month and wanted to go their as my partner was really excited about all gluten free menu. Staff were doing their best but looked tired and over worked! Might be a one off day but I am not going back there. The only best thing was the Cat hanging out and that’s the stars are for!

   Really nice ambience in the restaurant and service was excellent. All of the dishes that we tried were perfectly cooked and presentation was excellent. The only complaint (and it comes down to personal preference) is that I wish the flavours had a little more punch. Small but good drinks selection. Will certainly come back and will be sure to try the wine bar next time.

   We had a shared birthday party at BambuchiSan for myself and my dog Bagel. We absolutely loved the great service, cool atmosphere and delicious food - we want to come back in the new year for more! The restaurant is super dog friendly too which is a bonus! Thank you so much BambuchiSan for helping make our birthdays so special ❤️

   We love this place for its homey warmth, casual style and smart creativity. Did I say food? The food is honestly great! We loved traveling around the world while sitting at the table, savoring Japanese pancakes, Mexican Testarossa, Canadian salmon pate and Polish mushrooms with buckhead and sour cream.

   Tried for the first time. Thought it was really great ! We had fried rice balls (amazing balls), karaage chicken , and both items from the sea: fried salmon and fish croquettes. We also tried smashed pavlova dessert. Everything was delicious ! In our rating, rice balls and fish croquettes were absolute favorites! Very crispy, delicious dipping sauce. Karaage chicken came second ! Fried salmon was a very interesting combination! Salmon in general is our fav item on the menu but none of us were fan on fried salmon. However, I want to specify that there was nothing wrong with the taste or presentation of the dish ! Check the pic! It looked great! It was not our fav type of prep for the salmon as we prefer raw or cold smoked. I encourage you to try and make your own opinion. The staff was very friendly and attentive. This place also has a garden. I would rate this place as an awesome and chill spot to have a casual dinner! They also play a live music there occasionally, so why not to try ?!

   New to Wellington and still looking for that nice little gem.. and I think we have found it. Great service, Tasty well presented cocktails, food is. Beautiful and tasty. Great place will be back. Love this place. Best chilli infused tequila. If you like a good quality margarita try the Californian Reaper !
