One of the best around here. Days Bay Pavilion is an absolute gem. The location is unbeatable, with stunning waterfront views that make it perfect for a relaxed meal or coffee by the bay. The atmosphere is laid back and family friendly, with plenty of space for kids to run around while you enjoy the scenery. The food is consistently good & wood-fired pizzas are a standout, and the coffee and ice creams are always a hit. Service is friendly and welcoming, even when the place gets busy on sunny days. Overall, itβs the perfect spot for brunch, lunch, or a casual dinner after a ferry ride. Great vibes and great views. Highly recommended.

Not great food spot in Dayβs Bay. The best things about are probably the nearby park, but the cafe itself is okay. To start, drinks were okay. Liked the Macβs cloudy cider they have on tap and serve in nice handles. However, the milkshakes had no ice cream in them and were thin and mostly bubbles. I would not get milkshakes again. The pizzas were nice; they are wood-fired. Definitely the best thing here. However, they serve them straight out the oven, which causes me to burn myself a few times, and their taps in their bathrooms only run warm. They should at least be warning people of this, but better yet, let them cool down a bit before serving. The ice creams were tasty and unique, which was appreciated. The brownies were also good, if simple. However, the venue is dated and dirty. There was visible mould on all the ceilings above us; the poles holding it up were also rusted and breaking apart, and the plastic covers for the outside were also gross. The turf floor was bad, and the tables were not well cleaned. Definitely not a nice venue. The service was also super blasΓ©. Not a lot of care where things went or who ordered what, which was quite disappointing, especially for the price of those pizzas (high $20s). No ambiance is provided. Overall, I would likely not come to Days Bay Pavilion again; maybe only for takeaway pizzas and ice cream.

Polite staff and good service made our visit enjoyable. The pizza was great! We ordered two flavours and both were fresh, tasty and cooked just right. Days Bay Pavilion is the perfect place to relax with family and friends while taking in the beautiful sea view. Don't forget to buy duck food and feed the ducks!

An actual fireplace, that burns wood and not the fake ones in Auckland and Wellington. The seafood chowder was decent and so was the coffee. If you are European, as we are, you will like this place while you await your ferry. The folk here were also decent and welcoming, unlike the many disappointing services we had in Auckland.

Paid a lot of money for poor quality food. How can they justify charging what other cafes charge, when other cafes in Wellington and Hutt put in so much more effort into higher quality food. $125+ for 2 adults and 2 children including 1 kids meal. Chowder was floury, fat boy burger seemed like it had a commercial pattie, cold, soggy fries, disappointing fish burger, berry muffin with hardly any berries, (and none in the actually cake, just on top). Don't like giving bad reviews but would only go again for coffee and so my kids could play outside. Also, freezing! Put more wood on the fire! We were sitting right next to it and my son had to wear my coat.

We took the ferry from Queens Wharf across the harbour to Day's Bay and lunch at the pavilion. Mid-week not too busy, good service, enjoyed our meals and drinks. Lovely outdoors area for children to play and views of the harbour through the trees. As cyclists, always look for secure areas and the Pavilion has bike lockup bars, there's also more directly across the road by the wharf.
