“I just purchased a recliner. I did it over the phone because of mobility issues. It arrived yesterday exactly as described. It is incredibly comfortable and I can tell it will last along time. The staff went above and beyond to get the chair to me and they were genuinely friendly and patient. It is worth paying a bit more for extremely high quality. I am very happy with my decision. “Spent a while in here looking for options to cover the floor in the garage to convert to a home gym. Plenty of options were presented with pro's and cons. Range of pricing also discussed when discussing options fit for purpose. The staff member who served me was interested in helping come up with a solution. Easy access and parking, I went in early Saturday morning.”

From the start, she truly listened to our needs and created a design that was both functional and family-friendly. Every cupboard and drawer was thoughtfully planned with purpose, ensuring we had everything we needed without wasting space. Fiona also managed to keep my desk/computer area and dining table in the design—without sacrificing the flow of the kitchen. In a small villa with a family of 4, this was so important! The sit-around bench means we are always gathered there—for meals, kids' art, and cups of coffee with friends. We just love it! “I went into farmers to purchase an arrangement of gifts for a friend going through a hard time, I was in the makeup/skincare section. My mum asked the lovely girl at the checkout where the slippers were - she was very sweet and prompt to show us where they were. I got my things and went to checkout, first i’d like to compliment Nea’s mannerisms, she was very polite and very prompt with her scanning/packaging. More so I want to say my appreciation for her compliment on my voice, she said I have a nice voice - a compliment I’ve never received before but it really made my day and has left an impression. “First time I have shopped at Placemakers and what a breath of fresh air compared to the utterly hopeless other large format building supply retailers in Porirua. The staff at Placemakers actually know what they are talking about, they are organized, helpful and offer customer service willingly - instead of trying to avoid customers which is what you get from staff at M10 and Bunnings. The drive through actually has room for vehicles - another improvement on the other two hopeless outfits. Placemakers is where I will be spending my DIY shopping in the future. Wish I had gone there years ago.”
