    We couldn't be more thrilled with our kitchen remodel! A huge thank you to Fiona, the designer, for her incredible work. From the start, she truly listened to our needs and created a design that was both functional and family-friendly. Every cupboard and drawer was thoughtfully planned with purpose, ensuring we had everything we needed without wasting space. Fiona also managed to keep my desk/computer area and dining table in the design—without sacrificing the flow of the kitchen. In a small villa with a family of 4, this was so important! While a huge kitchen would have looked amazing, Fiona understood that it wouldn't have been practical for our lifestyle. The kitchen is truly now the heart of our home. The sit-around bench means we are always gathered there—for meals, kids' art, and cups of coffee with friends. We just love it! The service was also quick and efficient, with our first meeting scheduled just a week after calling in August, and the remodel completed by early December. We highly recommend Fiona and the team for any remodel projects!

    As promised, an update. I'm still firmly in the DON’T USE KITCHEN STUDIO camp, here’s why. Following our review, KS reached out to apologise for the poor service. They provided feedback on changes to ensure that this didn’t happen again. We got a visit from Fiona (Design and Sales Manager) in August. Which was very much appreciated and led to the question of suitable recompense. Our response “we’d like a nice experience to make up for the poor experience that KS has provided to date”. KS offered a $500 voucher for the Martinborough hotel. Seemed reasonable, except that with typical lack of attention to detail KS hadn’t noticed the actual cost of the hotel. The problem is that the voucher doesn't actually enable a nice experience in Martinborough. It would incur a significant additional cost in order for us to use it. The hotel's cheapest rooms are $339 with a 2 night minimum stay. Add dinners, travel etc. Please understand, it's not about the cost, it is about KS putting in the effort to deliver a solution, rather than again creating additional work for us. Despite follow up call and emails, there has been no progress with this now for over a month. My take home messages: • Nothing has changed in terms of team communication and management at KS Petone • They talk a good game but still lack the ability to innovate and offer a really insightful solution. When considering using KS Petone, just think, you may be lucky and have a great experience and leave a glowing review – or you may not! Do NOT Use Kitchen Studio Wellington/Petone. Their customer service is simply non-existent, they have poor attention to detail and paying upfront gives you no leverage to get action. Our kitchen installation took 3 months longer than planned and we needed to contact the CEO of Kitchen Studio New Zealand to finally get it finished. Of particular note: Chris is a great salesman but is missing in action once you sign. Installation and customer service falls to Libbie (2IC). Libbie skipped a few days at customer service school, and she may, or may not, respond to emails in a timely manner (it often took more than a week and follow up emails to get a response). The kitchen had many install snags (13 significant ones), including; unnecessary holes for pipes and electrics, split panels, mismatching doors (wrong size and wrong colour doors replaced with doors of a different design), a missing end panel, a wrongly sized and damaged panel, badly installed toe kicks etc. (see pics). It took 3 months and 4 follow up visits to finally deliver a kitchen that was acceptable (not perfect). This doesn’t include issues with the benchtop which, although ordered through KS, was blamed on the supplier. KS didn’t actually check the plan the supplier sent to them to check. After 2 months of frustration we requested a meeting with the KS Wellington owner (John Wilson) to try and make progress. After another 2 weeks with no progress we contacted the CEO of KS New Zealand who was very helpful and 2 weeks later we finally got John on site (It took 2 goes, he forgot the first appointment). It seems the boss sets the tone for customer service. John seemed unaware of the issues other than the 2 sets of mismatching doors. So it also seems their internal comms are just as poor as their customer comms. A final close out meeting with Chris served to reinforce the lack of care they show to their customers with basic checks on the work done followed by a very brief discussion that he seemed desperate to exit from. We have been fortunate in recent months to work with a range of companies, all of whom recognise the importance of clear comms and customer service. Kitchen Studio were by far the worst company we worked with and simply CANNOT be TRUSTED when things go wrong. To date we have had no apology for their errors and delays or recognition of the time taken and stress involved in keeping on top of their mistakes.

    Our stunning new Buffet is completed. Working with Kitchen Studios was a hassle free process, from the initial visit to our home to the completion of the project. We were carefully guided through design, options selection, and scheduling. We wanted a non-standard finish, incorporating the top from the previous Buffet. This was never a problem for Sushil from Kitchen Studio's who turn our concept into reality. Communication throughout the process was timely, friendly and comprehensive. The installer, Vickram, who worked in our home was knowledgeable, talented and polite. We are very happy with the final product.

    From our first contact with Kitchen Studio we had a great experience. Ours was a laundry project so not a big kitchen renovation, but Sushil listened to our ideas and came up with a great plan for us. Libbie worked for us behind the scenes, keeping in touch about progress, so we always knew when things were going to happen and they did happen! Every meeting was on time, the delivery was on the promised day and the finished result was exactly what we wanted. We are absolutely delighted with the end result. We would definitely use this company again and highly recommend their services.

    Our current kitchen was over 24 years old and looking tired. We looked at Mitre 10 and others, but there were risks (such as measurement errors) going with that approach. We went to the Kitchen Studio Petone branch, and went through our needs with Fiona. She visited our home in the next couple of days, and quickly came up with a draft plan for a new kitchen. We made a few minor changes and a quote was drawn up. Our installation began in late January and went pretty well without hitch. There was a wait for the benchtop as final mearurements are taken when the cabinets are installed. All installers were very courteous, friendly and capable. All in all an easy experience, and Fiona was a great help with her design ideas. KS also reward referrals which is good. All in all a great firm to deal with and I highly recommend them if you are wanting a new kitchen.

Louise (Design), Darren (Installation coordination), William, assisted by Joseph (Install) - Thank You. We chose KS when we were novice to all that is involved in replacing a new kitchen and needed guidance. They were ready to provide a wraparound service of design, install, tradesmen and timelines. Louise our designer worked patiently with us, through many possible floorplan ideas before finding the perfect solution. She listened to what we were wanting and gave us a range of design ideas and products. The KS showroom in Petone also was very useful for us to view available products. Covid lockdown delayed installation but the KS team under Darren seamlessly coordinated the timeline to suit the different trades and appliances deliveries so that the final kitchen installation had only negligible delays. This was especially so when our appliances delivery was delayed due to Covid 19.
