“One of our favourite finds on our NZ holiday - great atmosphere and one of the best burgers I’ve ever had”

“Full house for a Tue dinner service (before a sellout show at MFC). Be sure to book! Burrata, flatbread, snapper crudo, gnocchi, wagyu flank, half lamb shoulder (classic they'll hopefully never stop serving), sides of cauli & fries - between 4. All dishes were perfectly on point flavour-wise and generous enough to share. Everyone left satisfied and still recalling the yum hours later. Service was attentive and friendly but unprentious. Unique and broad selection of wines (cocktails a bit slow, but it was busy). Overall a very memorable meal and will for sure continue to recommend to others for special occassions, and return.”

“The thw scrambled eggs with salmon roe were delightful. The chives, salty pops of the roe paired perfectly with the koulouri (similar to a Greek bagel). This atmosphere was homey yet sophisticated.”

“A good place for beers after work, good selection of beers thar are regularly updated. Expect it to be busy if its straight after work, with it being quieter a couple of hours after. Don't forget to sample the beers if you aren't sure whether you like it, staff are helpful and knowledgeable”

“we absolutely loved this place. it was recommended by a co worker as a meat place, but in my opinion I enjoyed better other things. I enjoyed the tempura oysters and the croquetas , incredible tasty. the dessert was also perfect. The meat was good, but personally I don't enjoy when the put so many sauces to what in where in my opinion the main flavour should be the meat only. In the menu it did say it would have a sauce, but I thought it would be on the side! and they actually put 2 different sauces !! way too much! The environment and service were both up to point and the restaurant had a retro European feel which we loved. We are definitely going back for more , sooner rather than later ! (sauces on the side this time)”

“Enjoyed an absolutely delicious lunch with a glass of French Chardonnay at Tartines Cafe while visiting Eastbourne. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere seated in their covered courtyard on a beautiful sunny winters day. The staff were friendly and attentive. Tartines welcome dogs which was an added bonus as we had driven out to Eastbourne to take her for a walk. We also noticed they had a lovely selection of frozen takeaway meals so we popped back on our way home and bought a couple of delicious looking soups that are very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.”

“Have been able to try many of the dinner options. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The venison and lamb have been cooked perfectly, tender and succulent. Fresh gourmet veges, jus and sauces. Highly recommend any of the dishes. The duck was also amazing.”

“Mushroom quesadilla on a Sunday afternoon - glorious. We ordered then waited on the balcony of Goldings bar with a drink. Whilst it took a bit longer than expected it was well worth the wait! Highly recommend if you're after a Mexi-fix.”

“Dined here for the first time and it was absolutely delicious! My friend and I got a medium big chicken pizza to share and it was so good! The place was very popular and the counter staff were friendly. Only downside to the experience was when I ordered a lemon meringue cheesecake and it was served to me still frozen so I had to have it takeaway, also we ordered garlic bread but they didn’t have any . Would definitely go back for the pizza though!”

“On my way back to Auckland and was at the Wellington airport. Felt like a burger so decided to have a burger. It was really nice, succulent chicken and crispy bacon. Good fries too.”

“Really good chicken and felafel kebab. It wasn't overloaded with soggy lettuce and carrot like a lot of kebab places tend to do. Service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere was typical of a foodcourt.”

“Me and my spouse had a great time there. We were awestruck by the good quality food here, and ate two days in a row here. All of the Indian curries were excellent, the curd was also brilliant in taste. If you are in Wellington then this restaurant is a must visit.”

“Fantastic place for all day dim sum or yum cha or just a great meal. The restaurant is very large and though on the weekends bookings are advised, we went on a Tuesday night and it was quite empty. The food was delicious, the service great and the wine list of high quality. We had a great Riesling from Germany which paired perfectly with the meal. You must get the crispy skin pork. It is amazing. Also of note are the soup dumplings. Everything was of high quality and I love that they constantly fill up your tea without needing to ask. Highly recommended.”

The hotel's fantastic location made exploring the city a breeze. ​From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the beautiful atmosphere and the genuinely friendly, professional staff—especially Ray and Anthony, who were absolutely amazing. ​The food was just as impressive. The weekend high tea was an exceptional experience, with every tea and accompanying food item delicious and the service impeccable. ​Breakfast was a definite highlight. While the buffet was decent, the à la carte menu was sleek and memorable—I'm still dreaming about the egg benedict and the delicious mushroom dish. ​Dinner was just as stunning, thanks to a fantastic salmon dish and the breathtaking night waterfront view. As a seafood lover who usually avoids raw oysters, I was amazed by the one I stole from my friend—it was incredibly fresh, and the vinaigrette was a perfect touch. ​And the experience didn't stop there. The room was spacious and tidy, and I absolutely loved the bathtub. ​I was also pleasantly surprised by the value. Despite ordering a lot to try everything, I didn't find the prices horribly expensive. If you get the chance to visit Wellington, I highly recommend a stay at the QT to enjoy the amazing food, service, scenery, and the comfortable rooms.”

“The happiest, most welcoming, and excited people I have ever met. My entire family left with a warm, happy feeling, like spending time with extended family. To top it off, the food is great, and the portions plenty, just like eating with family.”

“A bonus that this restaurant is part of the hotel we’re staying in. Great atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff, absolutely delicious food. Steak and chips, cook exactly how we asked, accompanied by truffle butter. Chicken Tikka, with a trip of dips, accompanied by garlic naan, and rice. Not too spicy (perfect for those who don’t like spice) my favourite dip was the tzatziki style. Kids meals come with a drink and dessert. Mac and cheese, perfect size for for kids, my son enjoyed it but I through it was too cheesy. Ice cream sundae was very cute, 1 single scoop with marshmallows, sprinkles and wafers. “A great restaurant serving delicious food located steps from the Ibis hotel where I was staying. The Mussels were some of the best and the lamb rump was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is very nice as it seems to be an old bank building. Prices were reasonable. It was however very noisy.”

“This place never fails. Great food, service, drinks, coffee, parking, public transport- everything! The menu is fab,. But people come for the daily specials. This is shown in a light board. You can check that out as you drive past,as well as check on how busy ( buzzy) it is. They do gluten free with no fuss, kids, no problem ( the 25 yo hipster next me ordered children's menu chicken!). Try it. Think diner/cafe/neighbourhood bistro and you'll get it. Really, have an open mind and enjoy it.”
