“People, we have not been in a Starbucks for a long time however if one wants a real, delicious flavored latte coffee in a 16 onz (473ml) Grande cup this is the place! Sure the $7.30 price is up there however it is value for money if one likes their coffee not to mention all their other coffee options & sweet treats. Lovely, friendly, easy to talk to, young ladies as well to add to the experience in a comfortable cafe. Definitely recommend. Steve Franklin Rotorua”
“Was invited there for a birthday party this Saturday. Was very busy and yet the facility was clean and well run. I order a coffee and got it quickly and it was a great coffee too. “Long story short, best green curry I've had in a long while. There used to be some good Thai restaurants in Auckland but this gem in Rotorua is truly AMAZING. What do you expect from a Thai restaurant? Portraits of the royals? Check. Elephant and other 'oriental' decor pieces? Check. Friendly service staff and jasmine rice on plates? Check and check. The place is as authentic as it gets but the flavour is truly commendable. Compliments to the chef for sure.”

“To be honest I wasn't expecting much from our stay, expected just a simple night stop with no frills. Rooms and bathrooms were surprisingly kept at a good standard, clean and well maintained. The term "don't judge a book from its cover" very well applies here. Much to add the the hotel is a pet project of the owner to as his goal is to develop an aging hotel and turn it into a must stop motel, so note on further improvements in the upcoming months. To share a funny experience we had our carkeys accidently locked in while unpacking, but the owner/manager Ken went over mountains to help us by calling for help and making sure our stay was fun and pleasant. And to even invite us to Karaoke night at the bar downstairs with the locals which we had a blast with. Final thoughts - I would definitely make sure to make this part of my road trip route the next time I visit NZ. The locals, hotel, and owner all of them made our stop unexpectedly fun and vibrant.”
