   Dined here last Saturday. Overpriced and bland food. Could not order a glass of wine without paying a $45 club joining fee. Servers were uninterested in serving customers whilst 3 of them stood behind the bar chatting and laughing obnoxiously loud. Will not return and urge other customers not to bother with this establishment.

   We recently held our work end-of-year celebration at Mount Ocean Sports Club, and I honestly have no words to express how grateful we are for the incredible work the team put together! Everything was absolutely amazing - from the beautiful setup at the upstairs venue and the perfect spot in the Mount to the outstanding service. A special shout-out to the chef: the food was a huge hit, and everyone loved it! The atmosphere was perfect, and I could see how happy everyone was throughout the evening. Thanks also to the manager for all her attention throughout the year and for helping with the organisation. Thank you again to the entire team for making our celebration so special. Highly recommend Mount Ocean Sports Club for any event!

   Food not good, obviously new chef, seafood chowder I usually highly recommend in past now like creamy vege soup with few prawns and 3 mussels in shell, not nice. Other dish of fried crab mainly soggy batter with find or taste the crab. Disappointing after recommending to visitors especially after dining 12/24 and food was superb especially seafood chowder, best I had, had locally. Shame

   What a place in Mount Maunganui! Freshly served food and beer options are available too. Club members always look after everyone, and the staff is very helpful. The owners are great, and the manager onsite is very responsible and professional. Next door, there is an ice cream shop and a beachside view. It's perfect for family time, beach time, and fun time. Offshore visitors often come during big cruise ship arrivals. It’s located in the middle of the town with a variety of options. A strongly recommended place!

   Over priced, badly portioned, under whelming food, and we paid $77 for these 3 dishs, super disappointed. *( the carrots were, listed as seasonal vegetables for $12!!!) We even had to clear our own table, would not have minded if the dinning experience was decent.

   Grabbed takeaways here last week and our fish batter was still raw and not cooked yet donuts were so over cooked they were hard to bite into. Not a place I’d try again sorry

   We popped in for a quick feed last night, we have not been for a couple of years and previous experiences have been good. Last night service was good 9/10, we ordered fries 7/10 they could have been a bit hotter, calamari 2/10 not only was the plate pretty skimpy but the calamari was luke warm, I like my calamari and this is the most disappointing calamari I have had for quite a few years, mussels 5/10 usually my wifes favorite but again they were not hot, nor was the broth they came out in, Prawn thingys 8/10, reasonably warm and tasty. Total score of 6.2/10 = 3/5. We won't be coming back in a hurry.

   Perfect place to watch the world go by and the kids busting a few menus off the wharf. The Te Kouma Bay oyters are a delicious discovery salty and sweet they give Bluffies a serious run for their money especially at $3 each ! Well priced and tasty. Check out the game fishing club records on the wall and tropy cabinet some good records held by the club.
