Karen keeps the place clean and cozy, provides organic eggs, and cares about how we’re doing. Antony shows up whenever we need him and can fix just about anything. Lucy, the staff member, is the friendliest and most amazing person! And I miss Pipi the cat so much. The location is great—15min walk to the CBD—and the environment is very safe. I feel so lucky to have spent such a valuable time at Chester St Backpackers!”

“Exceptional Workmanship. I have a 22 year old project BMW E46 which had a few dodgy paint repairs in the past which led to some unsightly paint bubbling. This is the first time I've had a car which I have had bodywork done on and I kind of expected that it would be obvious that it had been worked on. The end result was impeccable, you would not know that there had been a repair done and the paint was just the same as factory to the eye. Extremely reasonable price for the time taken and the result.”

“Took a small party out for my wife's birthday. The food was great, and served quickly after ordering. I particularly liked the kumara fries! Was a great recommendation from the owner. Service was exceptional, you can tell when someone actually cares about their patrons. It showed in the number of people inside the business. It was a rainy Sunday evening and the resteraunt was at capacity! There was live music and good vibes in abundance. Despite being busy the proprietor checked on us multiple times, and once the live band had finished and a few people had left a table cleared inside which he offered to us for a more pleasant experience. At The Gintrap Restaurant & Bar, the menu stays classic fish-and-chips, served with an easygoing pace. Outdoors works well when the weather plays along. Easy to carry out for a simple night in. Cakes and scoops finish things neatly.

“Just a few small jobs, added extra holes with eyelets to running shoes, gluing a sole down on a pair of leather shoes and punching extra holes on a pair of sandals. 3 pairs of shoes made wearable again. Really good service, tidy work, and inexpensive, priceless if you get to wear your old favs again. Very happy customer I recommend the village cobbler, friendly guy and his lovely dog.”
