“Recently reached out to Canteros to pick a humidor for a birthday gift, really appreciated the time they took to help me pick the right type and size, along side with helping season it. Also ordered some cigars (Picked online as in NZ they cant recommend not there fault nz has silly rules) was hard to decided from there range but picked a few after googling reviews my friend who I gifted them and the humidor to said they where the best he has had in 5+ years of smoking cigars. “I have been in Smarty Pants a number of times, sometimes I'm not quite sure what gift I'm after, last time it was for my 10yo nephew who lived in Australia. After being asked a few thoughtful questions the retail assistant offered some suggestions and showed me a couple of items, it was perfect! “The wealth of knowledge in this store is incredible. Not just with gear, but local resort and club. I went in to get a board wax and edge ($40 - done in one day) for my first ever season in Christchurch. Ended up spending around an hour across both days talking to Andrew and one of the owners about the local club scene, how it all works, how each club is slightly different down to how certain weather patterns change certain fields. They aren't pushy sales people, but I left thinking my setup is holding me back and this is the last season on my current kit. Their detailed knowledge down to the type of edges on your board just always made sense. I'll be hitting this place first when it's time.”

“Probably the best customer service I've ever had. The owner and the staff that I talk to all live and breathe the sports they sell, so they know their stuff and most of the gear in house is what they like to ride, wear or use for maintenance, so you know you're in good hands. If you're new to the country, they can also point you in the right direction for waves or powder. They have good connections to their suppliers and really go all the way for their customers. I had trouble with my winter wetsuit and even though it fell out of warranty (by a few weeks), they were ready to help me out. Absolute legends!”

“Delightful little Cafe on good street. I was quite surprised to find a Cafe in this quiet area tucked away from the main street! The iced coffee was delicious, the breakfast we had was good portioned and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the sausage and bacon as they were cooked perfectly whereas some places quite often burn these or are quite oily. The lady was very nice and served us with a smile!”
