   The pies used to be the best in town and I didn’t mind paying $8.50 each. But recently the quality has dropped big time making the pies poor value for money. Obviously they are cutting costs and making more margin because there is much less meat which has been replaced by gelatine. I’ve started going to Four Square - the pies are better and cheaper.

   Great pies! And a wide variety of options! I only wish there was more vegetarian/vegan options! The veg pie was delicious but still felt like it had a cream base to it! Priced about $7 a pie

   Found this place by surprise looking for somewhere to grab a light lunch. They did not disappoint. Both the pie and the egg roll had amazing crusts and fillings that were deliciously well seasoned. Everything was hot and ready to go. They also have an assortment of sweet treats which I did not get to try. Some outdoor seating available. I would definitely come back to try more items.

   10/10 pies. Gravy is full of flavor and deliciously thick. The dough strikes a good balance between buttery while being light and crispy. Cannot recommend the steak and gravy enough!

   One of the best bakery in New Zealand. A must try Pie ( Mince and Potatoes top ). Good variety of New Zealand’s classic cakes and slices. Big selection of freshly made sandwiches and a very friendly service.

   Thank you to the owners of this bakery, you helped us survive the night of new years eve. You were open past 2am and provided us with a delicious meal, these pies were 10/10 with golden flakey pastry and just the right amount of meat to gravy ratio. We hope we will come visit again when back.
