“Tried Jo Bros for the first time from Uber Eats today and we were stoked to discover their delicious veggie burgers (vege single). The burgers were fresh and delicious, their special sauce is great! The burger is huge and was messy in a good way. The fries weren't as fresh but that's the trouble with ordering from Uber and the driver having stop off's along the way. They were still tasty. Looking forward to going and checking out the restaurant in person.”
“Best chicken burger in Auckland. I have no idea how they can make it so juicy, while keeping the full flavour intact. My colleague and I are addicted. I will go back many more times.”
“Incredible catering for a work lunch, super easy communication and very accommodating to our needs. Food was incredible and everyone commented on how great it was. Our thanks to Serene and James, we will definitely think of you next time!”
“Best one of these great franchises! The portions are bigger for an extra dollar or two which makes the ratio of brad to filling more diet friendly. The staff are friendly and efficient. My kids love it and I feel.goid about all the vegetables they eat ( and eat happily!!)”
“Beautiful clean and friendly. Food is amazing, we love the tofu don, just can’t get enough.”
“Got takeaways here, three dishes, moderately priced Great taste, good heated up the next day too”
“First Time at Old Town Malaysia Café Tried the Wan Ton Mee, Wat Tan Hor, and Fried Carrot Cake. The food was delicious, with flavors that reminded me of classic Singaporean street food—simple, comforting, and full of nostalgia. Portions are just right for one person. A great spot if you’re craving traditional tastes in a cozy setting.”
“Grabbed the Singapore noodles. Have to give this place a try because the portion size was huge and there was plenty of meat & vegetables. Noodles were cooked perfectly with that hit of curry powder. Shop is clean & tidy, best Noodle Canteen spot I’ve tried in my current life.”
“The yum cha experience was thoroughly enjoyable! The cuisine was both delicious and authentically prepared, which I greatly appreciated. The service was exemplary, with staff demonstrating a high level of attentiveness and warmth, and the pricing struck me as quite reasonable given the quality provided. There’s a consistent and genuine charm to the place, reminiscent of a well run family establishment. The atmosphere carries a nostalgic 90s essence, creating a cozy and relaxed setting that I found most pleasant. All in all, it was a highly satisfying outing, and I am certainly looking forward to returning in the near future.”
“We went to Okumnandi for a birthday dinner. We sat outside. The speaker that was outside was playing music way too loud so we asked to have it turned down, but for some reason it got louder again which made talking difficult, even with the person directly across from ourselves. The food didn't take long to arrive and it was delicious and had lots of flavour. As most South African cuisine, it was mostly meat based and quite spicy, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The service was great, we had a kind woman serving us who was really helpful and helped point out what we should order and in what order. The food was fairly expensive but it came in huge portions which were meant for sharing. All in all, the food and service was amazing and perfectly shows off the unique South African cuisine that the chefs should be proud of. I would definitely come here again :)”
“Love the Chinese food menu. Always a good stop off on the way home when cooking is the last thing on your mind. On the fish and chips great value. They will even cook your own catch for you. On my favourite, it may be the cheapest on the menu but the won-tons and dipping sauce are the best I have had. So good they don't normally make it homel.”
“Excellent Japanese restaurant nestled away next to Thai village and new world. Presentation was definitely one of the highlights. Sake served in an interesting container. Food was really good too. Highly recommend the lamb ribs. It's a little spicy but perfect with a little rice.”
“Top notch place, the food is excellent and has become a regular for us. BIG burgers, great kebabs, and friendly staff.”
“The food was delicious! My yakisoba was made just in time, and the waitress was very kind. It is a good option if you leave the airport from Auckland to Hamilton. You save time, money and can eat very well. I wish the place could be large enough to accommodate more customers in the same time.”
“Whoever keeps writing the cute notes with a smiley face on my delivery - Hello and thank you! :)”
The kitchen at Alfriston Fish And Chips takes a classic fish‑and‑chips path and lets the food speak. Cabinet bakes and slices cover a quick stop. Fillets arrive fresh and the fry stays clean. The team keeps things friendly and organised.
“This is only take away, but excellent pizza. Love the plant based vegan options.”
“Chicken cashew pineapple was the TOP!!! Wonton never fails to impress me, it is my go to take away.”
“Some of the best F&C I've had so far at a very reasonable price, battered fish was fresh, flaky, crispy and oil well drained with good crispy chips, will be my number 1 till I find a better one. Cheers.”
“Love this place, we always get the lemon chicken and a combination fried rice at least, but have also loved the spicy chicken, green beans, and the spicy eggplant.”
“Absolutely delicious stir fries and noodle dishes made with love. The pan-fried dumplings are so plump and juicy, they'll have you hooked!”
“Ordered 3 fish 2 scoops and 3 hotdogs. Pretty cheap the chips are amazing. perfectly cooked and the fish is amazing, best fish iv had for ages. Good hotdogs too! only took them 5 mins to cook it aswell”
“The guy who served us was superb. The pizzas were top notch as always. Thank you Johnsonville Sal's.”

“Aubergine is our favourite restaurant in Wellington and we go there for every special occasion. This time it was my wife's birthday. As always, we were treated to a lovely evening with attentive service, fine wine and a beautiful meal. Aubergine has just the right ambience for an intimate evening dinner, the food has never been less than excellent and we are made to feel very welcome.”
“We had the festive high tea and the food and service was excellent. Our server especially was delightful and very knowledgeable about the teas.”
“My partner and I recently celebrated her birthday here, and we had an absolute fantastic experience. The wait staff were delightful to deal with, and the food was delicious, while being rather different (being Asian fusion food) yet incredibly clever. The spice levels in each dish were perfectly balanced, which is one of the several reasons why I consider this worthy of 5 stars. I had the salmon entree, which was perfectly cooked and tasty salmon, with one nice dollop of beetroot reduction, and one of a lemon/citrus reduction, which paired nicely. The main was the tandoori charcoal chicken which was simply fantastic. The spice on this was outstanding, with a little bit of heat, which I found really kicked it up a notch. The charcoal chicken was perfect to me, ever so slightly crisp on the outside as you would expect, but perfectly cooked and juicy on the inside. The sauce was an excellent pairing too, as was the wasabi mashed potato, even though I am not a fan of mashed potato. The addition of the cardamon seeds was simply genius, and added a little something to it that was incredibly enjoyable. As for desert, I sadly forgot to take a photo, but it was the caremalised charred pineapple, which was also delicious. I especially enjoyed the sticky salted butter sauce on the side, which also had a small touch of cardamon to really add to the dish. It was a desert that you would never really see elsewhere as it truly embodied the fusion style, and considering how yummy it was, that's a bit of a shame! I love different and interesting deserts, and this was a prime example of that. Aside from that, the decor had a very nice 1920's feel to it, with some modern twists, to make the room cosy yet stylish. The wine selection was also really well chosen too. All in all I would very much recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting something slightly different yet special”
“Great selection of kai, inu, and treats. Order at the counter, table delivery, no fuss and no stress at this smorgasbord of goodness. My cousin got the salad and i grabbed a smoothie & club sammie. Prices are also brilliant—in this economy? Need good value places like these.”
